We have a pretty high violent crime rate, but it seems to be concentrated to specific areas which are fairly easy to avoid (east side and south of 38th). Two Indy car drivers got robbed at gunpoint at a Taco Bell drive thru a few days before the 500 this year....forgot you shouldn't go east of the Speedway at night.

They've become big over the past few years. The couple shows up, cuts into a cake, usually, that has white icing/frosting and is either pink or blue inside - sometimes marbled for fraternal twins.

It's another excuse for gifts and cake.

They're a thing, now. Pregnant women find out the sex of the baby in some novel way. (Cake with blue/pink filling, balloons with blue/pink confetti, etc). Basically they get an envelope from the doc and, without opening it, give it to someone else to prepare the reveal.

My wife and I just had the doctor tell us. Mainly because we're both introverts and that kind of a party sounds like torture to us.

A couple my friend knows did colored chalk in a truck tailpipe and started the engine.

Cool. If it's pink smoke, it's a girl pope? Or might that include a gay pope? How would they smoke a trans pope--pink or blue, or one followed by the other?

Not that they would plan for those contingencies for the present.

If I were to ever be forced into holding one, I'd have a box of brats and a box of buns. None of this pink blue icing crap.

That is a fantastic article. The reporter should win something.

But please don't tar and heather all non-profits just because this one appears to have been run by crooks for awhile. Most of them are run by really good people who are essentially donating their time.
