For starters, figure out people need to be bumped before boarding and do it at the gate rather than kicking people off once they're already on the plane. The end result may be the same, but the latter is infinitely more frustrating and aggravating.

United precipitated that. They are ultimately culpable. What did they expect would happen? A pleasant conversation and exchange of recipes?

I agree, that United handled it incorrectly. But they are not responsible for the actual manhandling. That is on the security they called in. On top of that, I think the "doctor" was also in the wrong. United had the right to remove, and ALL parties handled it in the wrong way.

While still maintaining that the security mishandled the execution of the situation, you should check out the new footage. The doctor was warned, and warned about being forcibly removed, and warned with jail. He wasn't going anywhere, and threatened back with a lawsuit.

Absolutely anything that happened outside of the events on that plane are completely irrelevant to the issue at hand. The only thing that matters is United issued him a ticket, then boarded him on the plane, and then brought in the Brute Squad to knock him out and drag him from the plane unconscious.


FYI, United (UAL) has 314.6 million shares outstanding. As of this post, UAL is trading at $68.487/share. The share price just before this video was released was $72.10. UAL has lost $821,106,000 in market cap since Monday.

What is your point...other than to smear someone in your quest to defend (backhandedly) United? This is reminiscent of your defending (while trying to make us all believe you weren't) a certain Presidential candidate.

Nah. Nothing that I can say or do that can smear this guy more than he's already smeared himself.

Point of the post was more of a jab at some posters around here. I always think it's amusing to see the reaction when someone falls all over themselves defending someone they don't know, or know nothing about, and then they learn the person turns out to be a complete turd. Judging by the posts, seems to have worked.
