What about Badger football fans? Remember the Morton years with 25k per game, if that?


I used to work in a bank in a grocery store back in 97 or so, right at the height of Packermania. We were open on Sundays and would have a TV on the teller line so that we could watch the game and maybe get potential customers to stop by to chat.

On game day, it was amazing to see entire families decked out head to toe in green & gold who would double take when seeing the TV and ask us what the score was or say that they didn't know the game was on now.

The bandwagon exists anywhere that a team has success. Even here in Wisconsin.


Again, hate the Hawks and the perceived (or actual) bandwagon all you want, but it's hardly a phenomenon relegated only to them. I would have stopped going to the games during the dark years of Wirtz's decline too if I lived in Chicago at the time.

If the Rangers and Leafs win, then the only higher seeds to win in the first round would be the 2 #1's.

Nothing the Wings can do will change my mind, but it is nice to see they're trying. Still hate them. I got so ****ed off about hearing, Wings this and Wings that, and the "Wings are the Greatest Thing to Ever Happen to Mankind" at school that I will never stop hating them.

NBC is cheering hard for the Bruins and Rangers tonight. They already have Chicago vs Detroit in the west but they have a chance to get the two markets on the east coast that drive hockey ratings meeting in the second round. Boston-New York AND Chicago-Detroit would be a dream come true for the TV execs. Meanwhile, the CBC must be on bended knee for Toronto to win tonight. If Bettman were as crooked as Stern it would be fascinating in whose favor he would rig tonight's game.

No. the JumboTron showed a picture of Chara and the crowd booed Z. Bad timing on the part of the Leafs and they acknowledged it.

OK. Got a guy I work with swearing up and down that they did, but I wouldn't expect Leafs fans to channel their inner Habs fan.

You know what has been amazing to me? We have had numerous OT games so far, yet most have ended relatively quickly. Even going back to the NCAA Tournament and conference championships, there were virtually no multi-OT games. We're due.

At least you get CBC in Watertown. We're stuck with the NBC announcers for Game 7 instead of the CBC crew we had for games 1-6.

EDIT: What is it with your softball scores? 37-0?? Don't they have a mercy rule in NYS / North Country?
