In recent history, Team USA hockey rarely does well when the Olympics are in a Eurasian city. Our two best showings at Games held overseas since 1964 were the silver at Sapporo in '72, and 4th place at Albertville in '92. Otherwise, lots of 6-8th place duds. You have to go back to the 50s to see USA hockey have much success in Olympic games held outside North America.

Bit of a rarity on Chicago's first goal tonight in game 4: Hjalmorsson and Frolik get assists but the +1 goes to Hossa and Oduya.
