If Chicago doesn't come back, not sure who beats the Pens.
The new MSG was great I thought.
I was going to ask how the renovated arena turned out. The last time I attended was just before they began the renovation.
I think they still have one more summer of work to do before it's completely done. Unless I'm a year off keeping track of it.
RE: Detroit @ Chicago TV announcers Sat. May 25th
Do I really have to listen to Pierre and Doc tonight?
Might have to switch over to the radio tonight and Ken Kal.
Doc is the best in the business.
Absolutely. It's a shame he's partnered with Ol'choke with sh*tstain (thanks Mike Commodore for Pierre's nickname) between the glass. Those two morons take the lustre off of having Emrick.Doc is the best in the business.
Pierre has really gotten on my nerves the last few seasons. I've never minded Eddie, but he isn't some kind of amazing color analyst, either.Absolutely. It's a shame he's partnered with Ol'choke with sh*tstain (thanks Mike Commodore for Pierre's nickname) between the glass. Those two morons take the lustre off of having Emrick.

Olczyk tries to use his 'Hawks schtick with the national audience, but it just comes off as awful (Stop it right here, active stick, Google "Olczyk drinking game). He has a good comedic balance with Pat Foley, but it just isn't there with Doc.
Pierre, well, I'd write a check to NBC if they'd forget to plug his microphone in for the game.
Doc does a fantastic job, and his voice is the voice of hockey.
...just don't care for the guy's voice.
