NHL 2019-20 #1: Where Toronto Plans To Win Without Playing Defense.

Going by this:

Gorgeous: AZ, CAR, COL, DET, EDM, LA, STL

Garbage: ANA, CGY, FLA, MIN, NJ, NYR, VAN, LV

The rest are just boring.

I see you people trashing Anaheim's jersey and I will not stand for it. Wild Wing is a national treasure.

NHL announces changes for 2020.

56 games. All intradivision. Four teams from each division make the playoffs, with the first two rounds also being an intradivision tournament (1v4 and 2v3), then finally in the third round teams will get to play outside the division.

To get around the border restrictions, divisions have been restructured into East, West, Central, and North. All the Canadian teams are in the North. The Central has some crossover between Eastern and Western conference teams, with Detroit and Chicago back again.

Hope you Wild (and Blues) fans like late starts. They got sent to the West with all the pacific time zone teams.

I love these divisions. Keep them.

North: Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Vancouver, Winnipeg

West: Anaheim, Arizona, Colorado, Los Angeles, Minnesota, San Jose, St. Louis, Vegas

Central: Carolina, Chicago, Columbus, Dallas, Detroit, Florida, Nashville, Tampa Bay

East: Boston, Buffalo, New Jersey, NY Islanders, NY Rangers, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Washington

Even better:

North: Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, Ottawa, (Quebec), Toronto, Vancouver, Winnipeg

West: Chicago, Colorado, Detroit, Los Angeles, Minnesota, (Portland), (Seattle), St. Louis

East: Boston, Buffalo, (Hartford), NY Islanders, NY Rangers, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Washington

58 (6x7 + 1x16) game RS. Division champions plus one wild card make the Stanley Cup playoffs.

Once Canadians figure out (about three months from now) that it's a surefire way to guarantee four Canadian teams in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, no chance we'll ever go back.

It's only 3, right? 1-3 -- no guarantee they'll get a WC.

I mean, don't they probably average that now? It's not getting into the first round that nets you any hardware.

While we're on the subject of junk teams, did the Leafs decide to add defense in the offseason? Or are they hoping to win all their games 10-8?
