NHL 2019-20 #1: Where Toronto Plans To Win Without Playing Defense.

Re: NHL 2019-20 #1: Where Toronto Plans To Win Without Playing Defense.

When Ayres came into the game did the Leafs provide a second EBUG to sit on the Carolina bench?

The Isles are pursuing Zach Parise. No deal has been reached yet, though.

AA to Oil Country, per Gord Miller. Kenny will pay 2 2nd's, per Dreger. Kuffner also to EDM, Sam Gagne to DET per official release.

Though, Commie had it much earlier... #Insiderrrrrr and Man of the People.

Please, please, please...

Only if the retirement recapture penalty won't screw us. Sounds like Guerin may have received word that if he does retire early (Parise of course says he has no intention of doing so) that it will fall under LTIR. The guy's back is more metal than bone at this point.

In Stevie We Trust.

Lots of movement from Detroit today. I don't know how to react. I'm so used to "well, we kicked the tires, but there wasn't anything out there we could do."

It's nice to have a GM who cares. Still "Despair for Lafreniere?"

Minnesota Wild were super busy at the deadline. At least they got rid of that dead weight Zucker a little while ago. Man, he's doing nothing in Pittsburgh.

Yuck.

Carolina wins the day, IMO.

As of now, I'd probably agree. Ottawa came out nicely. Edmonton did as well, though not quite as nice.

Rumor BrisBois is sending a 1st for Goodrow. TB giving up both 1st rounders in a week for Blake Coleman and Goodrow? YIKES. No Stevie Y if so.
