Washington is halfway to a very happy night. Good for them. If they win this they will have well deserved it.

They lost their 1st conference final 4-0
Won their 2nd conference final 4-2 then lost the Cup 4-0.
They look like they'll win their 3rd conference final 4-3.

Caps in 6 over Vegas. This town will be insufferable.

For a week. Then people will start fretting about the Redhawks.

I have no problem with the Caps winning tonight #f-ckflorida. But I will be rooting balls out for the Golden Knights.

I've been fortunate enough to go to two game 7's now. Neither has gone the way I wanted. Ironically, both shut outs, too. But regardless, nothing better for a sports fan.

I guess I don't really care who wins either. Would be happy for Ovi to get one finally, would be pretty incredible for Vegas to close the year out winning the cup after the tragedy rocked the city to start the season. Like SoH said, should be a fun one.

On a related note, just for S&G, I checked out the secondary market (Vivid Seats) for Game 3. $700+ for upstairs, $1,200+ for downstairs.

Girl at the convenience store across from my work said the cheapest she found find was $760.

She bought.

The problem is that most teams don't want to pay 5.75 million for a 32 year old goalie AND he had a No Trade Clause. Knowing how Rutherford works trades I've gotta imagine he explored more than one possibility and teams weren't looking to take on his entire cap hit or something along those lines. Getting something substantial back for him wouldn't have been easy.

Wow. Makes the $129 seats at the Q for tonight's game 6 between the Cavs and Celts look like a steal.

IDK if I'd consider him in the upper echelons of dirty players but he's had his share.
