NHL 2018: When the AI GM is smarter than actual GMs...

Re: NHL 2018: When the AI GM is smarter than actual GMs...

Islanders' 2019 third jersey announced.

But really, there's gotta be a minor league baseball team out there who has done this already, right?

Nothing--absolutely nothing--says Stanley Cup hockey like the pre-game, on-ice presence of Pat Sajak. Uhh, I'd like to solve the puzzle: Washington Crapitals.

S N I P E.

Great kill and a couple chances, odd man rush the other way and bang.

Sigh. It appears the clock is close to ticking midnight.

Jay Beagle's terrific hustle resulted in a tenacious forecheck which produced a great backhand pass to Devante Smith-Pelly for the goal that iced the game for the Caps. I get a kick out of seeing collegiately trained players make key plays in Stanley Cup games. Fantastic effort by Beagle.

All true, and it also extends into the AHL and ECHL. I think I saw there are 15 NCAA players in the Calder Cup Finals, almost half of the team rosters. I haven't seen a number for the Kelly Cup Finals, but I think it might be close to the same as well.

Everblades went up 3-2 last night with a statement 5-0 win. The boys focused on playing hockey instead of prison riots. Series shifts to Colorado for game 6.
