I only saw Babcock up close in Juniors but he's the best coach I've seen since Bowman.

I'm starting to believe Trotz is up there, too. A couple more rounds and I'll believe.

So nice to see that the "black-and-white, always called" puck over the glass penalty was not called on the Capitals...

It was close, like the shot in from slightly behind the center red that's deemed OK because the follow thru went over the line.

Russia just got a lot better for the Worlds.

We also might see Korea's -44 goal differential get eclipsed by Britain.

To be fair, so did the American team (possibly).

But yeah, Britain gets an already loaded American team plus Canada and the host Slovakians.

If the Trotzkyites were playing at the Nassau Coliseum, I'd rate them the clear favorites. But they're playing at the place O'Malley wanted and that's not good.

Nobody's a clear anything. It's the Cup -- every series is a toss-up.
