Essentially Pheonix was on loan to the Blues, as he was traded to the Blues for TJ Oshie.

Then- To Blues: Troy Brower, Pheonix Copely, 3rd (WAS) 2016
To Capitals: TJ Oshie

Later- To Blues: 1st 2016 (WAS)
To Capitals: 1st 2016 (STL), 3rd 2016 (WAS)

Now - To Blues: Zach Sanford, Brad Malone, 1st 2017, conditional 2nd 2018
To Capitals: Kevin Shattenkirk, Pheonix Copely


Sooo....
In summary: To Blues: Zach Sanford, Brad Malone, 1st 2016, 1st 2017, 2nd* 2018
To Capitals: TJ Oshie, Kevin Shattenkirk, 1st 2016

The Blues turned their 2016 into Tage Thompson (UConn) and the Capitals turned theirs into Lucas Johansen (Kelowna WHL).

Too bad the mumps have come back. A lot of these guys got a booster when it rampaged through the locker room in 2014. Scott Stevens has it as well.

Gotta think they'll call someone up for Graovac. He played a back to back for Iowa before being called up because of this mumps business. Played three games in three nights, and you could tell he had nothing left in the third. Wild play Winnipeg tomorrow night. I don't think he'll go four for four.

Ott gone from Detroit overnight, sent to Montreal for a 2018 6th.

Vanek just sent to Florida for D-Dylan McIlrath and a 2018 3rd.

Holland on TSN right now saying he wants picks to either develop into Wings or trade bait for more guys. He also said if they miss the playoffs this year, he doesn't want to make it two in a row.

The only way Bishop to LAK makes sense to me is that LAK kept Bishop from going to someone else in the division/conference. The obvious suspects? STL and CGY, the two teams LAK are battling for the wildcards.

I think it is time to admit that the Blackhawks are not down this year, they just didn't care until now. I'm not surprised, but I have a few naive friends that are.

No, they are on fire right now. You'd have to make them the favorites again the way they're playing and the players and experience they have.
