I thought they had their own Pegula. BTW, Englestad cost $100M so I assume we're looking at $200M now.

Have you ever seen Englestad? It's kind of a palace when it comes to college hockey venues.

Think: a Mini-Me Xcel, for those that haven't been to the Nazi Bunker.

Just popped in to mention attendance in NHL arenas tonight:

21,485 MIN*

*MN High School Hockey Tourney

Edit: also, this is NOT the championship game.

I think it's cool and unique without comparing it to anything else, NHL attendance or whatever.


It's simply awesome on its own.

GreatLakerMohawk (retired), noted jerk and noted RPI fan, came out to the F5 once. He was astounded. Totally blown away by the fandom. Just sayin'. He's some big shot with the NHL network now. ;)

This was also when the awesome version of the WCHA existed. He wouldn't see that now.

Hah!

Funny that the one touting it would miss the point.

It's not the sport. It runs far deeper than that.

It's the culture of the sport. It's the lifestyle. It's part of who hockey people are as people. I should know. :)


And yes... there is a difference.

Had you played, coached or been from a hockey family or contributed to that culture in any way, you'd understand the difference.


Hockey snobbery is fun, isn't it? ;)
