Listening to the UMass-Notre Dame game online. Triple OT right now and giving me the itch for playoff hockey.

Alas, I'm in the hockey fan's paradox. OT is so exciting because the next goal wins it and every shot means a chance, yet all the suspense is over at once when it finally goes in. As a neutral spectator, it's always a little deflating when the puck finally crosses the line.

Leafs getting embarrassed by the Blues at the ACC. Last time Toronto beat St. Louis at home, Glenn Healey was in net, Pat Quinn was coaching and the game was at Maple Leaf Gardens.

Leafs had a 2-0 lead over the Islanders starting the 3rd. It's now 2-1 with 2 minutes gone in the 3rd. When will the Isles score the GWG?

NOTE: Leddy hurt with apparent shoulder injury.

Answer: 21.8 left in OT 4-3 Isles

As good as Dubnyk has been for the Wild, Pavelec was their best goaltender tonight.

Gotta love the Leafs. They're now fully embracing Tank Mode. They had a 5 minute power play and gave up 2 shorthanded goals and are playing like a team who can't wait for the day after Game 82.

Maybe Wilson has a ton of money on the Sharks missing the playoffs. Then it makes sense to toss this monkey wrench into the works right before a long road trip. Or maybe he has a gentlemen's agreement deal worked out that relies on the Sharks getting a top 10 pick.

They will lose by winning tonight. The headline for tonight's Leafs - Oilers game should be "Tank Wars".
