Re: NHL 2015-16: John Scott for MVP!

Leafs trade Captain Dion Phaneuf to the Senators in a 9 player trade. No salary retained.

Didn't see that coming. Phaneuf for Cowan is pretty much a trade off of underachievers.

Re: NHL 2015-16: John Scott for MVP!

Dallas finally plays on National TV. I get to watch and the Stars win. :)

Re: NHL 2015-16: John Scott for MVP!

Winging it in Motown with the brilliant plan to save the Wings season: Claim Christian "Error"hoff from waivers.

Because apparently getting a sore throat from yelling at the defensive lapses from Ericsson and Kindl aren't enough?

Minnesota is the State of Hockey.

It's also the Train Wreck of the NHL.

Those two are not necessarily mutually exclusive.

Re: NHL 2015-16: John Scott for MVP!

Less than 5 minutes in, and this DET-BOS match is shaping up to be one of those non-goaltending games, isn't it?

Re: NHL 2015-16: John Scott for MVP!

Wait, this isn't the AS game? I THOUGHT it was weird that there were this many Bruins and Red Wings on the teams....

Re: NHL 2015-16: John Scott for MVP!

I wasn't watching , so I figured Howard was in if they're getting lit up. Odd.

Re: NHL 2015-16: John Scott for MVP!

Go figure this stinker from Mrazek would coincide with an article about him being "Detroit's clear #1". :D

Re: NHL 2015-16: John Scott for MVP!

The B's defense is as bad as I remembered.

Do the NBC announcers realize they're doing a national game or did they only mention one team to get revenge on Jack Edwards?

Re: NHL 2015-16: John Scott for MVP!

Jagr turns 44 today. 9th player in the NHL to play in the NHL at 44 or older. 39% of today's NHLers were not born when he made his debut. Saw him play once at the old Met when his Penguins destroyed the North Stars in game 6 to win the Cup back in 91'. He still has game.

Re: NHL 2015-16: John Scott for MVP!

So the Wild's new coach gets his first win in his first game, 5-2 over the Nucks.
