NHL 2013 - The Lower 48.

Re: NHL 2013 - The Lower 48.

2 shots/2 goals happens in the NHL? Really? :D

Just another overrated goalie who got exposed after his team stopped playing the trap.

In other news, I'm getting pretty tired of losing to beat up old Doan and this collection of nobodies in Phoenix.

Good news, the Wings will, as of right now, only see Doan and the collection of nobodies only twice next year.

Bad news, they're the leading candidate to be moved into the Wings division in Quebec City for next year...

I think they'll be alright. They are slumping at a pretty bad time though. They don't suck, but they're sucking at the moment.

I agree. But I'd like to win the division. They're getting beat by all of the playoff teams.

Edit: if they're going to slump though, better now than three weeks from now.

What's up with the Red Wings going to the Adams Division, anyway?

Re: NHL 2013 - The Lower 48.

The wild need to figure their **** out and win, or just keep losing and miss the playoffs. None of this .500 bull**** and helping other teams out. that is all

Re: NHL 2013 - The Lower 48.

With so few games left in the NHL season, I was interested in purchasing NHL Gamecenter Live to complement my MLB.tv package, but saw the NHL still wanted full price. So I e-mailed them to see if there was any promotions going for the final three weeks.

Promptly received this:
Thank you for contacting NHL Gamecenter Live with your inquiry. There are currently no discounts or cross-promotions available for subscribing to Game Center Live. Once subscribed to the NHL Game Center, you will have 5 days to cancel your subscription and receive a full refund if you are not satisfied with the product. The current price is deeply discounted compared to last season at the same time. Furthermore, there will be different package pricing available for the playoffs and day passes will be available later in the season. We invite you to take advantage of any promotions which may be available in the near future.

Spectacular.

Wouldn't offering the final month for $20 have been a great goodwill gesture on top of the initial discount? Public relations certainly isn't a strong point of the NHL's...

Are you really surprised?

I have GameCenter and there are way too many games that are blacked out. What would be the point of ordering the playoff package if every game that is aired nationally is blacked out? Most of the games are carried on NBCSN and NHL Network once the playoffs roll around.

Please pay $50 to be able to watch one game every other day.

I'm surprised aparch even got a reply. I've been trying for years to get an answer to why so many TSN and Sportsnet broadcasts aren't shown on the Center ice package.

Actually, all of them are now. They used to have some of the first round(s), but a couple of years ago they went to all of the games on NBCSN & NHL.

You don't want to be playing the second game of a double header if the first goes into OT as they stay with that one until it ends (including intermission reports) regardless of where you are in the country.

Last year, I missed the majority of a couple of Hawks games because of this. VERY ****ing frustrating when it happens and I'm stuck watching some eastern game that I don't give a **** about.:mad::mad::mad:

I live out of market for my team (the Hawks) and have had to buy Center Ice for years and years now. Totally worth it for me btw as the alternative was to never see them or just listen on the radio.

Re: NHL 2013 - The Lower 48.

Well, it's a pretty canned response, and I think the playoffs bit is just their way of covering non-North American subscribers.

I was reading up on the blackout rules in January, and never subscribed then because of how assinine they are. I understand blacking out the NBC games. But NBCSN? questionable, but okay. NHL-Net games? Huh? At&t subscribers don't get that channel. Some Comcast packages don't include it. And considering how few games are on nightly, having all these blackouts is annoying. MLB's territory maps make more sense than NHL's blackout rules.

I was just hoping to catch the three remaining Wings games and eight Jets games that would be available on Gamecenter Live.

We're blacked out here in Madison for Wild games. Guess that's supposed to be our "home" team.

As if...

Re: NHL 2013 - The Lower 48.

With today's win over Nashville, Chicago eliminates Nashville in the Central Division. Blackhawks magic number (Division) is 6.

And anyone with Ray Emery in their fantasy league is smiling.

My gamecenter only blacksout wild games and whatever is on NBCSports..which I can watch on TV anyways.

I don't have problems with tons of games being black out?
