Re: NHL 2013 - The Lower 48.

The Anderson hit on Henrique should've been called high-stick/dive. Anderson definitely thrust the stick up there, but contact was minimal as Henrique goes down grabbing his face like he's been shot.

Division Champs!

Raising a glass to that...

Now onto the next challenge

It's official although we had that pretty well wrapped up about a month ago.

Hope to see LeBlanc between Sharp & Kaner for a few games here.

Re: NHL 2013 - The Lower 48.

Rumors abound that the 2015 Winter Classic will be Hawks/Wild at Target Field...

Awesome. Minnesota should get one of these. Seriously.

Gotta imagine the Gophers might try to piggyback and get a game during that time too.

This is getting ridiculous

The NHL is in the final planning stages of its much-anticipated series of outdoor stadium games next season with six outdoor contests set to take place in football and baseball stadiums across North America, sources familiar with the plan confirmed to ESPN.com Tuesday.

The series will start with the annual Winter Classic, recently confirmed for Ann Arbor, Mich., on Jan. 1, 2014, and will continue with games in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago and Vancouver.

Re: NHL 2013 - The Lower 48.

Vegas had an outdoor game. Why not LA?

Good idea? No, but it IS possible with no problems.

Re: NHL 2013 - The Lower 48.

Yeah, what could possibly go wrong?

Re: NHL 2013 - The Lower 48.

Congratulations, Boston, on one of the best renditions of
The Star Spangled Banner,
ever performed.

I don't think I've ever heard a US crowd do that before. I started crying as soon as Rene Rancourt put his mic down. That was amazing.

Suddenly there was a LOT of dust floating around my apt. Eyes started to water.

Los-Fuckin'-Angeles... Gary Bettman folks. Hold your applause.

There'll be an outdoor game in Los Angeles. Meanwhile the NHL is reluctant to bring an outdoor game to Denver. It's April 17th. We had 6 to 8 inches of snow Monday, it's Tuesday--and it's snowing again right now--and the forecast for tonight into Wednedsay midday is calling for an additional 4 to 8 inches of snow.

But by all means, have an outdoor game in L.A.

I liked the boston fans tribute and patriotism. but usa chant is implying fans think this was a foreign terrorist act as opposed to a citizen.

LA's the 2nd largest market in the US. They have 2 hockey teams, both of them good right now.

So yeah, by all means, they should have an outdoor game in LA, charge a lot of money and make a lot of money. It's like the NHL is a business or something.
