Re: NFL Thread 4: The Road to Miami

And no mention of the 35W bridge collapse....

But the people in the Twin Cities didn't rally around the Vikings as their only hope to reunite the cities of Minneapolis and St Paul like the NO community!

That's because it's the arrogance of the Gopher fans that knits the people of the Twin Cities together!

Re: NFL Thread 4: The Road to Miami

I forgot about this stat:

No team has ever lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and won the Super Bowl in the same season. The '98 Vikings only regular season loss was to the Buccaneers. The Saints lost to the Buccaneers in week 16.

Unfortunately for the Vikings that doesn't preclude the Saints from getting to the super bowl. Only winning it.

I don't think the Vikings can win the Super Bowl unless they get the face the Bills, the Browns or some other team with completely awful luck.

You should have used the word "binds" instead of "knits," Obi Jon. :p

MN is gonna rock NO like a hurricane!

Too soon?

Someone has to make a legal ruling about when something is "too soon." I'm not going to start in with Haiti, 911, the Trail of Tears, or Holocaust jokes, but can I mock Abe Lincoln or the Battle of Hastings?

Oops. I think I've made jokes about all of those in certain company. :o

Ok, I don't need to know BrettFavre's butt-slapping techniques.

Re: NFL Thread 4: The Road to Miami

Long before the SuperDome,
Where the Saints of football play,
Lived a city that the ****ed called home.
Hear their hellish roundelay...

New Orleans!
Home of pirates, drunks, and whores!
New Orleans!
Tacky, overpriced, souvenir stores!
If you want to go to hell, you should make that trip,
To the Sodom and Gomorrah on the Mississipp'!

New Orleans!
Stinking, rotten, vomiting, vile!
New Orleans!
Putrid, brackish, maggoty, foul!
New Orleans!
Crummy, lousy, rancid, and rank!

New Orleans
