So the Packers/Lions game may or may not have playoff implications depending on the result of the Seattle game. As a Jags fan, it kind of ticks me off that the Packers/Lions is gonna be flexed despite the Jags/Titans game being a Win and In game, which has been the Week 16/17 Flex M-O since it's inception.

I'm not sure that they have selected what game is getting flexed yet. However, the Detroit-Green Bay game will have playoff implications. It is a win-and-you're-in game for the Packers. If Seattle loses (or ties), then the same is true for Detroit.

That being said, I agree that the Jags/Titans game SHOULD be the night game.

Demanding to be taken seriously while wearing this hat is certainly a choice.

Technically everything is flexed this year I believe. There were no kickoff times announced and two games on Saturday this year.

They just came out with the Saturday flex games. Chiefs-Raiders Saturday afternoon and Titans-Jaguars Saturday night. Sounds like the Sunday game times will be coming out on Monday. Packers-Lions seems like the obvious Sunday night flex. if Seattle loses it becomes winner take-all. If Seattle wins, then GB is still playing to get in. The AFC has a fight for the last wild card slot as well, but it's three independent games creating scenarios and it's possible for the drama to be gone by the time they'd get to Sunday night.

The more I think about it, and perhaps this is more what RaceBoarder was going at, the Packers-Lions game is not a great flex option. The Seahawks-Rams game should take place at the same time as the Packers-Lions game because otherwise it could give the Packers an unfair advantage (and disadvantage the Seahawks). While true that if Seattle loses, it turns the Packers-Lions game into a winner-take-all game for both teams; however, if Seattle wins, then Detroit would be eliminated and have nothing to play for (other than to spoil a rival's chance at the postseason). That is usually what the NFL tries to avoid for that "flex to Sunday Night" game, preferring a meaningful game for both teams. To that end, the Seahawks-Rams and Packers-Lions games should be played at the same time.

That being said, what other game is there for the Sunday Night game? The most obvious option was the Titans-Jaguars game, and they "flexed" that to Saturday Night. Maybe Bengals-Ravens if Cincinnati loses tonight? That would at least be a game for the AFC North title and #3 Seed, with no other major implications for other matchups.

SNF will be Lions-Packers at Lambeau. Seahawks have the 4:25 game.

I agree all of the posts that should have the games at the same time, for fairness. If Seattle wins, that sucks the life out of Detroit- and makes the game boring to anyone outside of Detroit (we at least want the Lions to win at Lambeau- given their history there).

Damar Hamlin of the Bills fainted after making a tackle and they've been administering CPR to him on the field.

Game is suspended now. They gave the Bills ten minutes after the ambulance left the field to get ready, but then the coaches met and pulled the teams off.

I was really hoping they would start, as it would mean he was ok. But this is not good....

The fact that they were administering CPR was really odd in terms of normal injuries- but he was more hit in his chest than his head hitting the ground. I was going to post a rant about the hard surfaces that the NFL plays on, but without real information, can't really do that for this injury.

(the rant was going to be posted about a video I watched about how concussions on turf hasn't changed, but concussions on grass has come up to meet it- which is the exact opposite way it should have progressed.)

They gave the Bills ten minutes after the ambulance left the field to get ready,

Listen, Popeyes pays good money to be the official southern-friend chicken of the NFL, and we want to make sure that and other sponsorships don't go to waste. That's what's really important here.

Looks like this is over- the Bill sidelines is cleaning up, after the two coaches got together and spoke to someone on the phone. Which I would interpret as really bad news.
