Re: NFL 2019-20: We'll Just Talk About Our Fantasy Teams Again....

I always looked forward to letters, to see if the Athletes of the week were local, Rick Reilly's earliest years anyway, Dr. Z's annual crapping on the Vikings pre-season, but on the whole there was typically one very well written piece weekly that went above the typical pablum so prevalent in sports writing the past few decades.

Yeah, it’s too bad. But Newsweek died too.
Before it was reborn. Kind of.
I don’t have much faith in TheMaven given the descriptions I’ve read about them.

The letters, the Athletes of the week, and the yearly (at least in the 90s) THIS IS THE CHIEFS' YEAR by Dr Z. ESPN ended up putting out a better mag, IMO (even though I don't subscribe to either, I read them in doctors'/dentists' offices). Print media is dying a slow death.

The only magazines I subscribe to are Consumer Reports and Minnesota Conservation Volunteer.

I only get Rolling Stone, because YEARS ago (2002 IIRC), was offered 50 years for $50 total. Um, okay? I'll take that.

Also, for Sunday's Miami-Skins game in Miami:

Miami Zoo admission: $23
Skins vs. Dolphins tickets: $16

I'm a little worried that since I started watching tonight my Patriots haven't quite been firing on all cylinders, but I have faith that our Brady will pull us through. We are a team of destiny!

The Browns are beating Seattle right now? What is this madness?

Parking your vehicle ($60) is valued by the market as more than triple the entertainment value of the game.
