NFL 2019-20: The Patriots Are A Terrible 11-3 Team!

Does a win materially improve either team's playoff position over a tie?

The Raiders now play Cincinnati instead of Kansas City, so yeah. Sounds like the timeout changed their plans at the end there. Seems they were happy to let the clock run out at midfield, but after the Chargers stopped the clock they ran a few plays and got into field goal range. Even though I've been giving the Raiders crap for being no fun, if you can easily win you have to do it. Imagine kneeling and then running into the Chargers a few weeks later and losing. Hoo boy that wouldn't go well. It is something you'd probably expect from the Raiders, though.

No it's not. Cunningham had a historic year in 1998, Tommy Kramer had more than one very good season, Culpepper was nearly the league MVP one year, Favre had a wonderful year in 2009 and Cousins has been a Top 10 if not Top 5 QB at least once since he arrived. If I were to look further I could probably find more. Maybe one of the years with Jeff George. They've lost several home playoff games through the years which = CHOKE.

Let’s not forget Vander Kelen.

This is hilarious. I'll give you the one year with Favre. Tommy Kramer? Hahahahahahahahahahaha.

Thanks. I needed a good laugh after the past few seasons. ; )

In '86 he threw for 3,000 yards with 24 TDs and 10 INTs in 13 games. A team with a terrible running game and their leading receiver was a TE with only 58 receptions.

Also I didn't say he was all-World but the fact is they've pissed so many playoff games down their leg since their last SB it's a joke including 6 NFCCGs.

Minnesota, Chicago, and Miami are all looking for new coaches this morning.

Las Vegas likely is too, but hard to announce that while your team is in the playoffs.

Don't get me wrong. I loved Tommy Kramer. He was one of my Vikings' heroes growing up (along with Darrin Nelson, Leo Lewis, Anthony Carter, Joey Browner, Carl Lee, and Chris Doleman).

That being said, my original post referenced "historically great" quarterback play. I read that as Hall of Famers. Tommy Kramer had some great moments, and certainly has sentimental greatness (I still have my youth Vikings uniform costume with the #9 jersey around somewhere). He was not historically great.

Also, I don't disagree with your statement about blowing playoff games. No franchise has lost more playoff games (30) than the Vikings. Yet, I love them so. ; )
