Cornell Big Red
I dislike Meyer as much as the next guy, but that is cruel.
And in all honesty I'm not sure he could even help the Red Wings.

One had a great start, until he gambled his career away.
I looked him up and was surprised to see just how badly he sucked. My very hazy memory* was of basic competence.
* To be fair, I have not thought of him once in the last 28 years.

The irony of Michigan QB's being so much more successful in the NFL than OSUs
Per Rapaport, Jacksonville looking to move on from Marrone. Urban Meyer is the top pick for job.
Alex Smith to start for WFT.
I honestly don't know if it's that cruel. What Detroit needs is real leadership- to inspire the players to be better than they are. I know these guys are pros and all, but I still think Meyer can find a way to inspire them to work.
That's Evil Bill's real secret- how to get more out of the players than they think they can. People pretend that it's somehow related to his discipline- but I actually see that part as an agreement between him and the players to understand what it will take to win. If the players don't buy in, discipline on it's own does not work- (see Bill's minions totally failing at trying to copy him). What needs to happen is that the coach and the players agree what sacrifices have to happen to win.
And I honestly see Meyer being able to do that.
I am trying to think of a dynasty that turned over their main player(s) and retained the coach to continue their run. There might be one, but I can't think of it.
I would argue that New England's success is more from Tom Brady and the veteran group of players that maintain a high standard of play. I would be much more motivated to work hard for a fellow teammate than for the coach. Players put in the work, coaches just add structure.

For the Lions, the failure is the ownership. They say they care about the fans, but as long as the franchise value continues to go up, they don't actually care.
Joe Gibbs and Washington?
One could argue that the main player(s) there were more the OL and less the QB/RB.
Officiating crew in the Vikings-Lions game is trying their best to ensure Minnesota wins this one. Two absolutely horse**** calls against Detroit lead to a Vikings' touchdown going on the board, and a Lions' touchdown coming off the board. Vikings lead by 8, but Lions should be up by 6.
Just another Sunday for Lions fans. This is the second time this season the Lions were flagged for tackling the QB.
The Giants got possession on a fumble by attempting to shove a football in their anus.
