Re: NFL 2017: With Dollar Signs in Goodell's Eyes

Fearing further loss in the revenue stream, Roger I, Tsar of the Shield, has said he will decree that all his subjects must stand for the National Anthem.

His serfs are not amused. However the serfs should be protesting the black balling of one of their own for protesting, not tD. The former will play better in Middle America and the South than kneeling for the Anthem.

They can do both, I promise it's possible.

The protest is about police brutality. it's not protesting Dump. Dump is just a distraction.

The people the protesters are trying to reach are not you and me. It's too late for us, we'll never change our views. This is to move the conscience of younger Americans who are still forming their opinions. Our concerns and suggestions are, frankly, irrelevant. We've had our time.

Pretty sure these protests predate Trump as POTUS. Where was the fauxrage when Obama was still in office?

It was with CK. I'm not convinced it is now.

They did.

And IIRC, the NBA has a rule where the players/etc have to stand for the anthem. Where's the outrage about them being forced to stand?

He is. Wentz literally plays in one of the easiest most conservative QB schemes and still sucks at not throwing interceptable passes.

Wentz still threw 31 interceptable passes last year. 5.11 percent of his attempts were interceptable. 25 quarterbacks in the league were better at taking care of the ball. Not one of the seven who ranked below him threw the ball short as often as him. Four had an Average Depth of Target in the top six in the league, all seven ranked in the top 20 whereas Wentz ranked 27th. None of the quarterbacks who ranked below Wentz in interceptable passes played in an offense that prioritized taking care of the ball.
