I would guess the "activities" fees help pay for insurance.




Kelce's actions, while funny and justified, were kinda dumb. Just sound off after the game and take the fine. You're now going to get fined AND your team missed you during the game. Granted, it only JAX, but still.

Don't tiny schools out west play a trimmed down football that's only 8 on 8 or something like that?

That might actually make football more watchable. What would happen to the game if you just stripped off 3 guys from the OL and DL?

(Drop a D from the NHL, too, like the old Rover, but that's a different discussion.)

Small high schools in MN have a 9-man division in which they play. They strip the tackles from the O-line (tackles or guards, it's an arbitrary designation at that level, really), and the coaches are free to design their 9-man defensive personnel however they want.

ETA: Oh, and the field is both narrowed and shortened. I don't know the dimensions, though.

Michigan added an 8-man division a few years back. It's mostly populated by schools from the thumb and random towns around Mid-Michigan, plus a few from the UP.

In Montana, Texas, and some other states they go as low as 6-man. Watching some film on Youtube it doesn't really look that fun, basically turns into elementary recess football with tackling.

Alaska has Girls Flag Football. It was added to increase the numbers of girls participating in sports and has been wildly successful.

So I have DeMarco Murray running all over the GB defense, but I'm going against Sam Bradford. That should have been a win for me, but somehow the Vikings have figured out how to get their offense rolling and Bradford has over 200 yards and 2TDs in the first half. I'm being killed with joy on this one.

ETA: Actually, this pretty much sums up my Sunday so far.
