NFL 2016-17 II: Playoffs, Super Bowl, and Offseason

Re: NFL 2016-17 II: Playoffs, Super Bowl, and Offseason

Peter King makes a good point. At some point TB12 is going to go Steve Blass. Jimmy G can run the same offense effectively. I'd keep him and trade Brisset.

I would too, as everybody would like to see a Montana to Young or even Favre to Rodgers transition. Problem is Garappolo is a free agent at the end of next year. Assuming Brady plays 3 more years until he's 42, the Pats would have to pay him a pretty good chunk of change to hold a clipboard for two more years. Maybe he does that instead of running for his life in Cleveland and winning two games a year. We shall see...

Trade him for what, an 8th round pick?

You don't know belichick very well. They like brisset , cheap and under contract. Jimmy is gone if someone comes up with the right offer

Re: NFL 2016-17 II: Playoffs, Super Bowl, and Offseason

Brisset is the Patriots' model --> under the radar; late round pick; hyper-efficient against normal expectations.

And Jimmy G? He's also the Pats' model --> trade them a year too soon rather than a year too late.

That rule is explicitly to protect betting, right?

Officially or unofficially? Officially it's supposed to make for fair competition. Unofficially, the NFL knows when there's an opportunity it can't refuse.

Yet Al Michaels can't mention how that last garbage time touchdown helped the Seahawks beat the spread...

Dan Snyder, national treasure.

(If you're not from the WMA, Chris Cooley doesn't tie his shoes without clearing it first with Snyder. Plus this has all the hallmarks of a routine eye gouge by Snyder, who would win in a walk any as-shole bracket without Trump in it.)

Note the Dolan comment; comedy gold.

Danny Boy would still win in a walk. With luck, the new stadium will be just South of you.

Wait, what? Just south of me is water.

Oh, Jesus F. Christ, that dotted line is my commute. I mean, it's much better than a baseball stadium for traffic, but everybody in Ashburn would have their property values crater. (Not that anybody would care -- the rich don't live in Ashburn.)

Where do you work?

Chantilly now. By the time they build that, just north of the Waxpool/28 junction.

28 and Waxpool? So it takes 30 minutes to go 500 ft? I do not envy you. 28 is a magical oxymoronic combination of congestion that somehow is still moving dangerously fast.

Hah, if they go through with that, it will be hilarious. My mom lives in Ashburn and hates the Redskins. I mean, she hates football in general, but living almost 40 years has given her reason to hate the Redskins specifically. It's one thing to now be near Redskins Park, with the added bonus of getting a speeding ticket once because they lower the speed limit on Loudoun County Pkwy right around Redskins Park lest someone injure a Redskin. If they put the full stadium with a couple miles of her, she will go ****ing insane.

Know the area as it is on the way to the Ashburn ice rink. $3.50 in tolls one way to get there.

I don't mind tolls, but VA's variable pricing based on congestion on I95 amd the Beltway driver me nuts. I'll take the slow lane, thank you!

On the other hand, Maryland's refusal to study another Potomac bridge on the Western side is pretty dumb, too. However, that's because people like Danny Boy don't want the hoi polloi near them. Money speaks very loudly in Maryland.
