Vacated cause GLA wasn't told his cheating and destroying evidence could lead to suspension.

Re: NFL 2015: Let's Talk About Balls

Whoever took a flyer on Brady in the fourth round of their fantasy draft...you just got the steal of the century.

Re: NFL 2015: Let's Talk About Balls

Nevermind the fact there was zero evidence.

Mook def crying in his terrible towel

I have to laugh at the so-called "legal experts" who said the NFL's case was iron clad. Seems they mounted the Napoleon defense, which was as appointed dictator Goodell can issue any ruling he pleases under any logic he pleases and everybody just has to live with it.

Kraft out to run to federal court himself now and get those idiotic sanctions against the team overturned.

And now Brady and Belichick are going to be in Super Saiyan Eff You Mode.

You thought 2007 was bad. These guys might average 45 points a game and drop a seventyburger on someone. Brady might throw for 6000 yards and 50 TDs.

I never understood the NFL's legal strategy. Even if Goodell is given unlimited disciplinary powers within the CBA, his decisions have to have a whiff of fairness in them. He can't rule that the Pats vacate the superbowl, are fined $100,000,000 and are required to have the Jets players play their games for them.

Its entirely possible he's the fall guy for idiot owners of teams like the Colts and Ravens who are sick of losing to the Pats. However at some point as his decisions keep getting overturned, this time in a friendly court no less, one has to wonder what the end game is here for the NFL. I'll be real curious if they try to appeal.

when one is allowed to destroy the evidence, there tends to be less evidence.

chit, HOJ was convicted with less evidence.

Re: NFL 2015: Let's Talk About Balls

Except (of course) the league had all electonic communications from brady but i wouldn't expect you to know that because you haven't read everything.

Re: NFL 2015: Let's Talk About Balls

Actually you're right...they didn't have the gisele divorce rumor stuff

Re: NFL 2015: Let's Talk About Balls

If I were an owner i am saying we can hire a new commissioner for cheaper and someone who won't embarrass us at every turn. The judge picked apart every aspect of the league's case.

Goodell is 5 for 5 on last 5 appeals
Soon to be 6 for 6 as he has said he will appeal this ruling

The judge picked apart every aspect of the league's case.

Not only that, but under labor law, the judge was not able to rule on the underlying facts of the actual assertions; he was strictly limited to ruling only on the arbitration procedure itself. He found it (a) violated the CBA by including, as part of the rationale for the discipline, documents not covered by the CBA, (b) was applied improperly because the NFL denied the NFLPA access to documents and testimony vital to the defense, (c) was inconsistent with prior discipline for similar violations, and (d) Goodell did not act as an impartial arbitrator.

He really shredded them.
