Jordy Nelson with a possible torn ACL. Nothing has been confirmed yet and the Packers made it clear yesterday they were waiting to get back to Green Bay for full clarification.

Believe it or not...

@wingoz: It's one of the most amazing stats in football: The Chiefs have not won a game.. a single game.. with a QB they drafted since 1987

Re: NFL 2015: Let's Talk About Balls

Well I am officially on the free Brady bandwagon, had my fantasy football draft last night and ended up with him AND Le'Veon Bell so my team is going to struggle for a couple weeks...

Re: NFL 2015: Let's Talk About Balls

Speaking of balls...Seeing this, I'm inclined to understand why Vikings fans on here believe we sniff turpentine...

Someone has posted a sign in Green Bay that reads...

MUNN'S the word, RODGERS balls are never deflated.

I can't figure out how to post a pic from my computer so you just get the text.

Yeah, I don't play on here as much as I used to, so I couldn't figure out the picture posting thing. I edited to show the text of the sign instead.

Re: NFL 2015: Let's Talk About Balls

I got him 12th round. Surprised he dropped that low, but when I saw him I figured he had to be one of the greatest back-up options of all time, or at least good trade bait. Plus depending on the decision he may not miss any time, and even if he does I just need Luck to be healthy through the first month.

In my league, QBs were sat on, for the most part. There wasn't a run until the mid rounds. Luck went Rd1P7, then ARodg at R2P7, Brees R3P9, Ryan R4P3, Peyton R4P5, Great Rape Ape at R4P8, Wilson R4P10, Eli R5P, Stafford R5P4. Brady went R6P6.

Granted we have 3 pt Pass TDs but still....

I read today that Lawrence Phillips (remember him?), currently serving a 31 year prison term, has been charged with murdering his cellmate. 31 just became life.

A buddy of mine who was a fan of his, said he kind of kept track of LP, and said LP was honestly scared and out of his element in prison. Wrote to an old college coach often, etc. His thinking is that some cons were targeting him because of his former status as an NFL star, and he simply snapped. Felt sorry for him, actually (relatively).

He may have been defending himself. Let's wait a bit. OTOH, I would imagine he's in isolation right now.

That's what my buddy's thoughts were. I guess reports he saw said LP didn't want to be part of any prison gang, etc. He just wanted to be left alone.

I don't feel sorry for him one bit.

Maybe he should have thought about that before he got locked up in the first place. Hard-core knucklehead isn't so tough once he's in the clink, is he? You don't end up with 31 years in the first place without getting collared a few times beforehand. That wasn't his first arrest.

That's why I said relatively. My buddy knew he should pay for his crimes, but felt sorry that just because he didn't want to be part of the...prison culture, so to speak, he should have to join a gang/etc/etc. He wanted to serve his time, and that was that.

Obviously, facts may be different than what I have been told....

Re: NFL 2015: Let's Talk About Balls

His cellmate wouldn't have been Aaron Hernendez, would it?
