...and now God punishes the cheaters and their followers with another foot+ of snow. (personally, i'd settle for locusts)

God must be punishing the trolls( namely you :) ) with that same foot of snow :)

Problem is when He punishes them, he punishes all of us, since they're the whiniest people this side of ΣΔΤ.

Re: NFL 2015: Let's Talk About Balls

The game earned a 49.7/72 - both records. In both Boston and Seattle the game drew an 89 share. 89% of TVs were tuned into the Super Bowl...which makes me wonder what else people were watching....

In Boston those were drunk Southies who fell asleep with the aerial set turned to candlepin bowling.

In Seattle those were all the people watching Portlandia who claim they don't own a TV.

Ahhh, the Haterade here is so sweet. Cry, little ones, cry!

You know, to a kid born in New England in the 90s it seems like the region is supposed to win championships almost every year. If they only knew what we endured for decades....

It's fun to hate Boston because, well, Bostonians, but also because I grew up before the bandwagons and so I naturally assume every year the place will simply revert to its natural status as Combat Zone of Spouse Abusing Losers Except Hoops and Nobody Cares About Hoops.

This is as opposed to Pittsburgh and Oakland, who are too scary to hate because I always assume that Steelers/Pirates and Raiders/Athletics dynasties are always lurking just around the corner.

I liked the Red Sox before I lived in Boston and met Red Sox Fan. (I never lost my liking for the Bruins -- Bruins Fan is actually a totally different animal, as if he wasn't from Boston at all and came from NH or Maine.) But there are no Patriots fans; without the championships the Patriots have the natural dedicated fan base of the Marlins. So those of us who hate Boston don't even hate Patriot fan -- we just mock her as the girlfriend who decides to follow whichever team is winning every year. 5 years after Brady retires the team will probably have relocated to Fresno.

amazing how you live with yourself, pitching your tent with the cheaters all your adult life - starting with the puddin' boys :D

Re: NFL 2015: Let's Talk About Balls

I have to say that I enjoyed the Liam Neeson/Clash of Clans commercial.

Overall, Clash of Clans does a great job with their spots.

Haven't played it, but they make me want to...

:)

I actually enjoyed the Budweiser one taking shots at all of you beer snobs too. :D

I saw the comments in here about it missing the mark, but I promise you there are people out there who feel exactly the way that the commercial alludes to about micros and the people who drink them. Have a couple in my family. ;)

That's who the commercial was aimed at.

Re: NFL 2015: Let's Talk About Balls

You know the execs who made that ad were actually making fun of you, right?

Not sure how, but fine by me if they were.

Thought it was a good example of knowing your target and appealing to their triggers.

Doubt they made that spot up out of nothing. My guess is that the gist of it came from interviewing Budweiser drinkers (market research) and asking them why they drink Bud as opposed to micros.

"Let them drink their Pumpkin Peach Ale." :D

On a related note, a brother in law of mine always *****es about coming to Madison and not being able to find a "normal" cup of coffee due to all of the coffee shops.

Purveyors of crappy coffee should be targeting him.

My grandfather (dad's stepdad) was a rider with the Budweiser Clydesdales. Even that isn't enough to get me to drink their swill.

Now the giant Pacman maze, on the other hand, might just sell me on Bud Light.

Point taken, but you're not their target.

Nor am I.

Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow today. That means a minmum of six more weeks before Darrell Bevell has a clue what happened yesterday.
