Good call. You're looking at potential career earnings of anywhere from $50-200 million, maybe more, and you're pizzing it away cause you'd rather go boozing. Real smart.
There was a sign at the game quoting Tosh O, basically stating:

Hey, ease up on Johnny Football. YOU try living in Cleveland sober.

Did I miss something? When did the Packers and Lions trade places?

where the hell are my color rush uniforms?!??!!?!?

Re: NFL 2015.1 - if the ball weighs as much as a duck, it's a catch!

My teams have had some fun with 27-23 road games in Metro Detroit this year.

No slit. Baby blue and mustard yellow would be such an attractive combo.

BTW, how about that fakemask? http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/12/04/facemask-rule-as-written-wasnt-violated-by-lions/
Clearly, the man's thumb brushing the mask was a violation of the rules.

To be fair to the ref, though, he was positioned at the wrong angle to see where the defenders hand grasped Rodgers. The back of the defender's arm and hand brushed against the helmet, causing it to twist the same as how a face mask tackle would, meaning 99% of the time it's going to be a penalty.

Basically, it's just the Lions going all Lions on themselves. Or an NFL conspiracy. How many of these Thursday and Monday night games have had close, miraculous finishes lately? Hmm...

In real time, looked like a facemask.

On a quarterback.

A star quarterback.

I friggin' hate the Packers, but I don't blame the refs on this call one bit. And besides, the Lions only had to defend a 61 YARD HAIL *ING MARY to prevent the GB win. And you know, blowing a 20-point lead to begin with....

Re: NFL 2015.1 - if the ball weighs as much as a duck, it's a catch!

There was some yahoo in another thread chortling about Patriots fans complaining about referees. The zebras have stunk all year.

To be fair, though, we brought up the 1976 Ray Hamilton roughing Snake Stabler, which, if I recall correctly looked awfully similar to the play last night.;)

You're correct, it did look like a facemask in real time but I still stand my my statement that the officials in the NFL have been turrible this year. NBA worthy if you will.

I can still see that as if it were yesterday. smh
Didn't realize at the time it was part of an ongoing conversation.

I can't take credit for this idea but I have seen plenty of coaches do it...why no Calvin Johnson out there to defend hail mary? I think I've seen Randy Moss and others do it before. One of those things where as a fan you might not think about it right away but a coach should.

Clearly, the man's thumb brushing the mask was a violation of the rules.

“No player shall grasp and control, twist, turn, push, or pull the facemask of an opponent in any direction,” Rule 12, Section 2, Article 14 states.

The rule comes with an important caveat: “If a player grasps an opponent’s facemask, he must immediately release it. If he does not immediately release it and controls his opponent, it is a foul.”

Detroit coaches thought it was going to be another throw the ball around, lateral back and forth type play

Caldwell thought the Packers were going to try another lateral play. Why one would think a Top 3 QB and MVP would not be able to throw the ball 60 yards, I have no idea.
