So the New England-Baltimore divisional playoff game, I've got the choice of the most vile, evil, dark organization that uses skullduggery and scumbag tactics led by a face only a mother could love.... and Baltimore. Ravens it is, then.

Re: NFL 2014-15: Iron Fist Getting Rusty?

As a fan of the most hated team in the NFL from the 2002 Super Bowl on, it is nice to remind every one about how much we all hated the Cowboys in the 90's.

And the 70s.

People didn't hate the Patriots at first, they hated Patriot "fans." In that regard they're actually exactly like the Cowboys. The Cowboys were a pretty interesting team in the early 70s, but then we had to sit through the national media portraying them as "America's Team." That and seeing their idiot fans prance about got us all heavily invested in hating Cowboy Nation. A few more years and that extended to the team itself.

Contrast that with say the Raiders, where the hatred started off with the team and only later passed to the fans.

Re: NFL 2014-15: Iron Fist Getting Rusty?

They do it for the playoffs every year. The league evaluates all of its officials throughout the season, and then uses the officials with the best performance records throughout said season (refs judged against refs, side judges against side judges, etc.), regardless if they worked together or not.

Yeah, and only the very worst don't get into games. You're still seeing 75% of officials in the Wildcard and Divisional rounds. As Mike Pereira kept saying, "Don't call these all-star teams - they aren't."

Lots of people in Baltimore lining up to get their car "Ravenized" this week.

For those who don't know, to get your car Ravenized you have the lights punched out and bleach poured on it.

Let's not forget New England has a murderer to call its own. :D

Yes, an (alleged) murderer (who somehow is likely to beat the rap) who was cut immediately after an arrest was made (even though analysts said it didn't make fiscal sense). Whereas Baltimore had a guy who skated in a murder case, another who (allegedly) poured bleach all over his baby mama after knocking her around, and a wife beater who received support from the community even after we saw the video of him dragging his unconscious girlfriend off an elevator.

Janay Rice apologizes for her role in all this.

Can we go back to talking about Wisconsinites and deer? I don't like to think about some of the actions of individual players for the NFL.

Go Ravens!
