I like the comment referencing his options. Saying that he was probably attempting to hurdle him, but realized he was going to come up short. He can then either be flipped by the punter, making him look like a fool, or kick that punter in the face. It then goes on to say that the correct choice was made.

Well, the ray rice video was leaked to deadspin. It's bad. I think we all knew that.

I'm wondering if police can do anything, let alone the NFL or the Ravens who can't backpedal any faster on this.

Oh NFL, you just keep backpedaling yourself into that corner on the edge of the ravine...

The sad thing is this isn't going to mean a **** thing come week 2. Nothing is going to change because we are addicted to the NFL. Until people start turning off their televisions, nothing will change.

Didn't they say before they were given everything the police were given? I would have to think the police were given this video.

The Ravens need to either suspend Rice for the rest of the year, or just outright cut him. This is one of the biggest PR fiascos the NFL has ever seen. If Goodell was smart he'd resign too, because the news is going to come out that he had access to this, I fail to see how TMZ can get this footage and the police/NFL couldn't.

Why should they? I'm with you in the sense that this is a PR fiasco (almost went with a different term for that... :( ) but if they don't cut Rice or they don't extend his suspension, are we as fans really going to stop watching?

I wonder if they were told the tape existed, knew about it, but deliberately chose to not view it so they could say "Why no, we haven't seen it," and still be telling the truth. Someone on Twitter suggested the NFL hire the investigators from TMZ Sports.

Well considering that he was never charged (right?) I don't see why the police can't do something (assuming charges are filed this time).

Double Jeopardy only exists in the NFL as a part of the CBA (according to what I've been reading/seeing), but it does mean that he's not likely to get "retried" by the NFL (so to speak).

I know double jeopardy is attached, but this needs to be revisited. I saw it and was sickened by it.
