Re: NFL 2011: The Suck for Luck edition

The song is the epitome of horrid.

Whoa there big shooter. I didn't say it was a good song, I said I liked it, huge difference. Many things that I enjoy and what the rest of polite society thinks are "good" are vastly contrary to one another :D

Don't get me wrong, I love some music that society deems worthless, but that song transcends it all. MAYBE the only worse song that is given any credit is "The Boys Are Back In Town." If you mashed those two songs together?! The Mayans would be behind schedule.

I'm pretty sure all these anti-piracy laws had nothing to do with record industry profits, but were an effort to prevent losers like me from downloading crap songs, thus proliferating the suckitude.

What song are you guys talking about? I never saw any mention of the name of the song.

Re: NFL 2011: The Suck for Luck edition

Whomever is sick of hearing the stereotypical "Crazytrain" or "Start it Up" at NFL games, raise their hand.

Re: NFL 2011: The Suck for Luck edition

Oh. Can't say that I know what that is. It sounds like I'm lucky for that.

Ya, you won't find any head stones that say "I wish I'd listened to We Built This City by Starship more".

If you are daring you can find the video posted earlier in the thread. I have no taste at all and actually like the song, but it's definitely not for those with weak constitutions.

Re: NFL 2011: The Suck for Luck edition

"If he was hurt so bad I don't know why they let him back in ... two plays later," Harrison said. "Something should be done to them, I would think. I don't know. I got a game, what should they get?"--James Harrison talking about Cleveland's dealing with Colt McCoy.

Really wish I could have asked the next question. So James, would you like the entire Browns organization banned for a game? I'm having a hard time naming a dumber person in NFL history.

Fines, draft picks, etc. I think that's what he was getting at. Something that directly affects them, something that will be punishment. Don't take everything so literally. :)

I may be the only person in America who likes this song. It has lyrics I can understand, a nice beat, and is not disco or rap.

But it's by the same group that at some point in time was Jefferson Airplane, and just highlights how far they fell.

I don't mind it. I think people object to it so strenuously because it was like taking a big ol' Cleveland Steamer on Jefferson Airplane's chest. A terrible song by a formerly good band is psychically more damaging than a terrible song by a terrible band (see also "Rapture," "Born in the USA," anything by the Stones after 1975).

I thought it was only like one or two people from the original band that eventually became Starship, with every change in band members came a new band name.
