Re: NFL 2011: The Suck for Luck edition

Yeah, ESPN, talking to Wade at halftime still isn't going to make me watch basketball.

Re: NFL 2011: The Suck for Luck edition

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Since when did Boris Yeltsin become a sideline reporter?

Re: NFL 2011: The Suck for Luck edition

As much as I need that TD, it looks like Davis' toe is out there at the 1 or so.

When the lights... go down... in the city...

Also, a great deadspin comment:

Aw Jeez, The Lights Are Out At Candlestick Again

This is what Steve Young says immediately before post-concussion syndrome forces him to pass out in a puddle of his own tears and urine.

I'll match it with the worst song mentioning San Fran.

Re: NFL 2011: The Suck for Luck edition

I'm convinced that the NFL doesn't want teams to play defense anymore. They want 22 guys out there running around in tutus, prancing around like ballet dancers with helmets and pads.

Re: NFL 2011: The Suck for Luck edition

Okay. In my league's championship next week for the first time. Preliminary lineup questions...

Pick 2. (PPR League)

Reggie Bush against the Pats.
CJ Spiller against the Broncos.
Adrian Peterson against the Redskins.
Toby Gerhart against the Redskins.

I'm actually leaning towards Bush and Spiller. AP is explosive of course, but he only had like 10 touches this week, and Gerhart's actually been getting the bulk of the workload (and doing well). Spiller's the only guy in Buffalo, and should be running a lot against Denver's D.

Pick 3.

Calvin Johnson against the Chargers.
Jabar Gaffney against the Vikings.
Mike Wallace against the Rams.
Darrius Heyward-Bey against the Chiefs.

Megatron is obvious. Wallace seems to be as well.

Gaffney's had 24 catches in his last 5 games, and a pair of TDs. Him and Grossman seem to be connecting. But Washington should be up on the Vikes, so Gaffney's chances may be limited.

But Heyward-Bey's also been looking good recently, connecting with Palmer, and he has big play potential.

Re: NFL 2011: The Suck for Luck edition

Gaffney should be on the bench. No clue on the AP/Gerhart splits. I would say Spiller on the bench, but like you said, he's the only guy.

I may be the only person in America who likes this song. It has lyrics I can understand, a nice beat, and is not disco or rap.

Like everyone else I pretended I hate this song when it first came out. I'm not sure about everyone else, but I was faking it.
