Re: NFL 2011: The Suck for Luck edition

I'm no Tebow fan but the Broncos run right now is a great story and Tebow has been a large part of it.

Tim Tebow is the Tim Thomas of the NFL and as everyone knows I'm no fan of Thomas. He's unorthodox in how he plays, but plain and simple he gets the job done and until he doesn't...it's tough to find fault.
It makes ESPN radio more fun also, love listening to the talking heads(especially Cowherd) try to explain how much he sucks after he wins every weekend

Re: NFL 2011: The Suck for Luck edition

The OC I was at was having a field day with today's MN-DEN game. Every time Tebow <strike>performed some miracle</strike> hit a wide open receiver, half the bar would yell "TEEEEEEEBOWWWWWW!!!!" and laugh. We all knew it would be 3 minutes left, MN with the lead, and Denver would end up winning. Easy call, sure, but still funny to see it happen.

Madonna at halftime of the Super Bowl.

Nothing good can come of this.

Re: NFL 2011: The Suck for Luck edition

I'm down 24 with MJD and Gates tomorrow night, along with what's left of Sproles tonight. He's done. I've got a coin-flip chance at best.

Re: NFL 2011: The Suck for Luck edition

Up by 12.98 going up against Gates. TE's get PPR, 2 points for every 15 yards, and 3 bonus points at 90 yards in my league. Odds not in my favor.

Win, and I lock up the division for sure. But I'm probably gonna win regardless. The guy I'm tied with (I have the tiebreaker) lost by about 70 tonight, and the guy one game back is down by 44.43 with Matthews and Landry. If he somehow comes back to win, I THINK I win the 3 way tiebreaker as well, but it gets kind of nasty, so I'd rather it not go to that.

The division win is HUGE because that gives me the bye, which gives Vick, AP, and McFadden another week to heal. I don't know how I even have a shot to win this week with Reggie Bush and CJ Spiller in my backfield.

Re: NFL 2011: The Suck for Luck edition

I'm fighting to avoid The Brent Playoffs (equivalent to the Toilet Bowl cliche). Am hoping for the Mediocrity Bowl. I've had 4-5 people go on IR for the year, starting with Rashard Jennings pre-season, and the latest was Knowshon.

Re: NFL 2011: The Suck for Luck edition

Well, real football sucked yesterday, but fantasy turned out pretty well.

League 1: +32.14 (Cam Newton is a BEAST, and I can keep him next season at the cost of my 13th round draft pick) and I still have MJD playing tonight, not that I need him. I'll be in the playoffs (unless MJD loses 322 yards tonight); I won't get one of the two first-round byes, but I should move into third place (assuming Phil Rivers and Nick Novak combine for more than 5 fantasy points) and avoid being bracketed with the best team in the league.

League 2: +14.86 vs. Antonio Gates, but I need a LOT of help to make the playoffs. Oh well.
