Re: NFL 2011: The Suck for Luck edition

According to Adam Schefter-

"Ndamukong Suh knows he made a mistake, but he has been encouraged by NFLPA and Roger Goodell to appeal 2-game suspension and he will."

http://www.mlive.com/lions/index.ssf/2011/11/detroit_lions_dt_ndamukong_suh_3.html

The hell? It even says there will be an expedited hearing so it will be decided before Sunday. Why the hell would Goodell make a decision and then say, "Hey buddy, why don't you appeal this back to me." ?
The real question is, why did he let this get leaked? It should of been between him and Suh and no one else.

This reminds me when Vick inferred that Goodell guided him to the Eagles. These are things a commissioner shouldn't be doing.

Del Rio out as coach. I'm shocked. Shocked, I tell you.

It is a shame. I was a huge fan of him when he played, and hoped he would do well as a coach. #55B (Scott Studwell is #55A), I wish you luck in the future.

Bad team + ownership is about to sell. Not a good situation for the coach.

I'm surprised he wasn't fired last year, honestly. And when the David Garrard thing happened this season.....hooboy. That's a franchise that is not in good health. Lots of miscommunication there.

Thoughts on the Bears and Texans chances to make the playoffs/how far they will go once they get there with Caleb Hanie and T.J. Yates respectively as their starting QBs?

Texans will make it since the AFC South is so horrible. How far they go rests on Foster and the Defense really. The Bears...well they have Detroit and the Giants chasing them, only one game back. The saving grace for the Bears is a really easy schedule the rest of the way. Though, Its going to be close if they make it in. Also in Chicago's favor is the Lions and Giants aren't playing good football.

So McNabb's been released by request.

Who's lining up to take him, even though he is done as a starter in this league?

Tied with the Falcons as well, who are 1 behind New Orleans.

Seahawks handily beat Philly last night, but ESPN (especially those corporate whores Mike and Mike) are flat out saying that the story isn't Seattle winning, and just talking about the Eagles for 10 minutes.

Is it just me, or is ESPN getting worse every day?

To be fair, Seattle is still asleep, let them talk about the east coast team when those are the fans who are watching/listening.

No they were right this time. The Eagles do stink, but the Seahawks are terrible as well. VY had what, 4 INT? The Eagles have way too much talent to be a 4-win team. It's about the Eagles.

Re: NFL 2011: The Suck for Luck edition

ESPN cannot go a day without a Vick/Eagles feature. Seriously.
