If we've learned nothing else about the NFL's personal conduct policy, it's that we shouldn't really expect it to make a lot of sense.

He is simply trying to establish the run so the Jets can tee off on Favre on 3rd down.

One would think you might want to establish the short pass to flat on a blitz happy team like this.
