Stover kicks a field goal.

Cleveland Browns 3
Baltimore Colts 20

Re: NFL 2009 Thread #3: The Quest for Perfection

Why would you shove the defender toward the fumble?

Unbelievable.

Well you see, he was between you and the ball, so if you just stick your thumb up your arse or lay down on the field and start masturbating, he's going to recover the ball for sure. So you have to try doing something and shoving him just might work.

I don't know. The former option might cause him confusion/disgust, giving teammates time to recover the ball or for it to roll out of bounds. :D

Re: NFL 2009 Thread #3: The Quest for Perfection

No team is going to be able to beat the Colts if they commit as many stupid penalties and turnovers as the Ravens did tonight.
FYP.

I'm not saying that the Colts deserved every single call that they got tonight, but there were more than enough legitimate ones to have tipped the balance of the game anyway.

The Colts held on about 5 plays of significant significance in the second half. I mean the kind of holding where you need to buy a man dinner first.

They also got away with several PIs. The Ravens played like crap. They would still have lost even if the officiating was fair. But they could have played well, I just doubt they could overcome #18 and the officiating.

Re: NFL 2009 Thread #3: The Quest for Perfection

I think the Colts should put Painter in. You don't want Manning getting hurt on a meaningless 4th quarter play.

Re: NFL 2009 Thread #3: The Quest for Perfection

So TBA, did last night's BU loss so disgust you that you chose not to watch tonight? There was no Score Update thread. They won, btw.

Re: NFL 2009 Thread #3: The Quest for Perfection

Well the Conference Title game match-ups are set.

Jets @ Colts
Cowboys @ Saints

Nope, was in LA for Bruins-Kings, then sitting in traffic for the game while Erin drove back to SD.

This might be the first BU game all year that I've missed the entire thing. So maybe I should miss games more often.

Yeah, maybe both of you should take a breather next weekend. :)

Actually, I'm adding a new catergory of victory: hangonfordearlife

I hope not. I want to see Jerry Jones punch the guy next to him in the press box and Tony Romo crying. I hate Minnesota but darned if the fact that they are overrated makes it EVEN MORE awesome if/when the Queens win.

THAT's what ended Aaron Rodgers' season! :D

Just to show how beatable Arizona was.... yeah... Saints with a questionable D smoke them. HARDCORE. That's ok, though. Better the Cards than the Pack. Either way it would have been the same result.

Re: NFL 2009 Thread #3: The Quest for Perfection

I'm hoping this is the year I get to see the Vikings lose a Super Bowl. I've heard a lot about it, but have yet to see it.

Not going to happen. The Cowboys are already printing up their 3-peat shirts for 2012.

Re: NFL 2009 Thread #3: The Quest for Perfection

Tom Jackson: Find a single weakness the Cowboys currently have.
Chris Berman: Kicker.
Tom Jackson: That might be their only one!

Ummm, that's all you asked for you dick.

So many ESPN guys just think the Cowboys are unbeatable because they are the Cowboys. Jesus, they suck.

Re: NFL 2009 Thread #3: The Quest for Perfection

The Dallas Cowboys: <strike>America's</strike> ESPN's Team.

After all, New England's been eliminated.
