Re: "Next Year" Begins Now: Michigan Tech 2010-11 Season Thread Part I

Whatever meg....first of all, have you seen the rest of our student fanbase? Embarrassment is an understatement. And no one had any idea who I was or that I had any affiliation with tech, as far as anyone was concerned I was a ****ed off sioux fan that couldn't see the ****ing game.
What. Happened. To. You? Since when are the Misfits supposed to sit on their hands? Is that what you told people around you in the student section in your day?

Re: "Next Year" Begins Now: Michigan Tech 2010-11 Season Thread Part I

Students from a certain school ignoring the usher's requests to sit down, and therefore blocking the view of some of that school's students/alumni. Not to mention, blocking the view of most of the NMU fans to the right of us. Disrespectful.
No, actually we did respect it, as we sat down again and I personally went to the fans on the side of us and said we would be standing up again at the 2 minute mark since it is sort of an exciting game, being 3-3 against our rival. That gave them about 8 minutes to move 10 seats over to avoid the issue. Or, you know, they could stand for 2 minutes of play in an exciting game. Crazy thought, I know . It is beyond reasonable for 150 students. I talked to the facilities manager after the game and he was very happy with our group. He said he had no complaints at all and didn't have a problem with what we were doing. The usher that told us to sit down during OT even came up to us after the game and thanked us for being as controlled as we were.

the Misfits were great at both games. I love love love that they travel with their own cop! MTU security officer was at the game!

That sounds like the issues we have at our rink.

Congrats on winning the LSS. Here's to hoping it's not the highlight of the season, and you guys have some success...until the tournament if RPI also makes it.

Re: "Next Year" Begins Now: Michigan Tech 2010-11 Season Thread Part I

I have a question for someone who downloads the Tech streaming video.

I have a new blue ray with wireless, upon which I have been downloading and watching netflicks on my new flat screen. The question is can I stream the Tech games to my blueray and watch them on the flat screen in high def?

You can't make the quality any better than what is coming from Tech. If you blow it up on a large screen (especially an LCD TV if it is), it will look like absolute crap. You will be able to count the individual pixels, as they will me about a centimeter wide haha.

Yager...fail...if you would've read back some posts, Flashy went and talked to him, and he has a second degree ankle sprain....all mentioned in previous post...shouldn't delay his recovery too much

Re: "Next Year" Begins Now: Michigan Tech 2010-11 Season Thread Part I

In other news, since I'm bored waiting for Dexter to download so I can watch it, I started reading TFLN all with 906 area codes and can easily see these couple happening at Tech: (Excuse a couple, they might seem funnier to me then they are, because I am extremely tired)

(906):
Either seal the deal or get out of the room, I don't want to hide in this closet anymore

---

(906):
It's cute how he thinks we're going to have sex again

---

Obviously a Techie:
(906):
i decided to cut a 3rd hole in to my snuggie so i could masturbate all the time.. all time low? or genius?

---

(231):

I woke up with a black eye and dim memories of announcing that i had super powers. I shoved my pockets full of canned tuna and tried to jump off the balcony. And then my boyfriend called the cops.

(906):
so you're not coming in to work today?

---

(616):
dude you need to get laid

(906):
me?

(616):
no, the other guy who hasn't been laid in 7 months

(906):
oh I thought you were talkin about me

(906):
wait

---

Re: manurespreader

No problem, unfortunately I have an evening class at OU on Tuesday, so I won't be around to pad my post count for that game. ;) :(

No wireless on campus? Comon... you can multitask.

Oh I am sorry, I am the guy who drove 10 hours round trip to watch my team play instead of posting. You must be the other guy.

Yager... two please. XL or XXL, whatever you've got left, I guess. To be paid for in November.

Thank you.

Re: "Next Year" Begins Now: Michigan Tech 2010-11 Season Thread Part I

To correct a few misguided posts...Ben Johnson is not finally being noticed because he was drafted in the USHL Futures Draft...

Ben had an exceptional USA Hockey Select camp in 2009, and followed that up with a good performance at a couple high-profile tourneys while playing for the Eagles...where the NTDP was in attendance. The USNTDP had him on the radar over a year ago...and have been keeping tabs since.

There is a reason why north-end kids don't particularly want to play for Tech...and it goes back a long way....which I won't get into here. I'm guessing if Ben gets some legitimate offers from some other schools, he will be gone. If he gets to stay with the NTDP, there will be offers...and lots of them.

This goes the same as another certain '95 birth year player from Calumet who is verbally committed to Northern...just not the desire to play for Tech.

Please do...and seeing as how I'm not a local, by north-end kid do we mean Calumet or what?
