New York Yankees: Order Has Been Restored To The Universe

Re: New York Yankees: Order Has Been Restored To The Universe

Montero or Romine are going to have their hands full trying to displace Cervelli from what I saw of him on Saturday. He's a competitor.

I'm heading to the game Weds. afternoon from the Albany area and was wondering if it made sense to drive and park in Poughkeepsie and take Metro North to the new stadium station. Has anyone had any experience with trying that? If so, how was it? Thanks.

They really won't though. Montero and Romine are going to be much better overall players. Cervelli is all balls though, perfect backup catcher.

I did this last year but from the Croton-Harmon station, not Poughkeepsie. Parking in Poughkeepsie kinda sucks (both with how they do it there and the means of doing so). The train ride is nice and easy and should have its own express to the stadium that drops off at the new 153rd stop (outside the old stadium).

Going to Thursday's game against the Angels. Hughes' first start of the season against Kazmir. One of the guys in the office drove by the stadium yesterday and the old stadium is now demolished except for a small portion along right field.

Yeah, I thought about this about a week ago (I'll be going on Saturday) - it's going to be weird.

MLB has Kazmir scheduled to start Wednesday.

taking the Metro North is very convenient, but the only downside that I have heard (haven't personally taken the train yet for this very reason) is that the trains leaving the 153rd st stop after the game aren't necessarily around for very long, and I'm not one to always race out of the ballpark after the game to catch a train.

Worse comes to worse, if you take the Metro North and miss any trains from the 153rd stop, just take the 4 train over to Grand Central and pick up a train there back to poughkeepsie

won't be able to make any Yankees games until I'm done with finals up here, but i will be at the AAA Yankees/Chiefs game on the 22nd... should be fun :p

Bingo. Or if you hit a day game, just roll down to Manhattan after the game and get some good eats and then go to Grand Central anyhow.

Re: New York Yankees: Order Has Been Restored To The Universe

So I was listening to the beginning of the Yanks game today while at lunch and I heard Sterling's home run call for Johnson... "Jolly old St. Nick does it again". Seriously is that the best he can come up with??? Good Grief. :(

Well, I know that! Saying his calls are stupid is like saying the sun is going to come up in the east tomorrow. ;) But I thought this one was especially stupid. :)

Robbie Cano! Don't ya know!

Personally, I am so annoyed by almost anything Susyn Waldman says, that I don't really mind the Sterling calls.

You can have Jack Edwards.

So Vasquez is whining about being booed off the mound yesterday. While I think it is a touch early to start that, there is a simply solution....pitch better! I just hope this doesn't snowball.

Or maybe the fans could not be complete retards. Considering the crowd was more like a weekend crowd it's not surprising, but it is stupid. Friggin' A-Rod heard a smattering of boos yesterday. That's asinine.
