Re: New UNO Arena Construction Thread---Facility to open for the start of '15-'16 Sea
I contacted UNO's Chancellor as well as Trev Alberts and received the following reply to my email on the ticket party topic directly from Trev, himself:
This at least is an explanation, although, I still don't like it. Plus, if the game is at 7:00 P.M. that night and the ticket party at the new arena is from 5-8 P.M., are they booting everyone out at 8? This is certainly a contradiction.
And, if you don't get your tickets at this function you have to physically go down to the UNO ticket office to pick them. The letter (from the link in the post above) says they aren't mailing them out this year (a first as far as I know).

Dear *****
Thank you for your email and concern. I am sorry that you are so upset and that we are the culprit, it certainly wasn’t our intention. Thank you as well for supporting our program and students in Mankato-should be a great series.
I agree with you, we should have communicated better (included rationale in letter) regarding our challenges with the availability of Baxter Arena. It is true that the 9th was/is the only date that the arena is available for our annual event. We thought about combining the event with other previously scheduled activities but decided that our season ticket holders were entitled to a “stand alone” event. We will be showing the game feed on the video boards for those unable to make the trip to Minnesota (we now have 6,000 season ticket holders). Please let me know when it is convenient for you post October 9th and I will personally deliver your commemorative ticket package.
Regards,
Trev
