All I know is when I see a white kid from Wayzata with phat pants calling people, "*****" I don't think he got it from hanging out at the yacht club, Sunsets or Woodhill. :D
I see what you did there.

Then he's acting like MTV showed him how to act. :p

Anyway, found that "Gojira" (the original Godzilla, I believe) is on instant-viewing on Netflix. I think I know what I'm gonna do tonight or tomorrow. This should be good.

So you're saying white people act a certain way that's different from black people, and vice versa?

Yes...but I am not racist because I hate everyone :D

Re: New/Rented Movies : Pixar actually made a bad movie

I saw Blue Valentine the other night. It was a pretty good movie, but I don't think it was worthy of being a best picture nominee, like it was last year.

As someone said to me, I'll say to you: check out "Revolutionary Road." Similar movie, but you should appreciate the differences in it.

Re: New/Rented Movies : Pixar actually made a bad movie

FINALLY saw Machete. Much lulz.

:D

Thinking about it, there's very few movies in the past 3-4 years where if I happen to turn it on, I will watch it, and not be tired of it. Machete is obviously one of them, but Zombieland and Taken are two others.

Do yourself a favor and DON'T check out Revolutionary Road. Here, I'll tell you what happens:

(That isn't spoilered, that's actually what happens. Nothing.)

Is that the abortion movie with Kate Winslet and that Leonardo DiCaprio guy?

If he liked "Blue Valentine," I think he'd like "RR." And gee, like BV was action-packed. :p

And Clown: yes.

Wow. Megashark vs. Giant Octopus is really terrible. I was hoping that it being so bad would make it awesome, but it didn't. I just made it really, really bad.

Re: New/Rented Movies : Pixar actually made a bad movie

Is that the one with Debbie Gibson and Tiffani?

And Lorenzo Lamas! And a George Takei wanna-be!

SoH knows not of what he speaks. It is a great example of a horribly awesome/awesomely horrible movie.

Re: New/Rented Movies : Pixar actually made a bad movie

So I was browsing Rotten Tomatoes when I saw a first peek of the new Superman movie coming out, Man of Steel. The thing that caught my eye is that the costume doesn't have that sharp, vibrant blue that I remember from the cartoons and Christopher Reeves days. Has the same color changed happened in the comics too or is this just a Hollywood thing to make the character somehow darker?

Re: New/Rented Movies : Pixar actually made a bad movie

It depends on the comic and the story.

I love the vibrant blue, the old school style but in a movie it is hard to hide the cornball factor of it. You could not get away with the Christopher Reeve Superman nowadays sadly. I think the picture that has been released is darker because of the scene and in a more lighted situation it will look more traditional fwiw.

BTW the cast of that movie is outstanding!

False. There was not nearly enough gore, and they showed five different shots of the monsters. They just recycled the same ones over and over. There was absolutely nothing in the movie convincing me to watch more than the first ten minutes. I merely convinced myself, hoping that things picked up. They never did.
