Re: New/Rented Movies: Insert Random Retread Of A Plot

Oh yeah, and I don't usually find Anne Hatheway attractive really at all, but she was hot, hot, HOT as Cat Woman!

:eek::D

1. She needs to stop the red lipstick. Honestly. Makes her look like a horsemouth.
2. Anne as Catwoman? Twice. Three times. Any times.

And current franchise is in a Mexican showdown. Nolan says he's done, and Bale says no more without Nolan.

Re: New/Rented Movies: Insert Random Retread Of A Plot

I just watched HP7a and 7b again tonight, and it still ****es me off to no end that there was no Harry/Ginny moment after the battle was over. So, so wrong. All it needed to be was a long hug, and a "Have you seen Ron and Hermione?" and that's it. Maybe 30 seconds to a minute, and the ending would have been perfect instead of driving me nuts.

Re: New/Rented Movies: Insert Random Retread Of A Plot

Caught three movies so far on my flights.

Silver Linings Playbook. This was as good as advertised. Awesome story and who would've though t Bradley Cooper could act like that? Also, Jennifer Lawrence is great, she is going to be fun to watch for a long time.

Beasts of the Southern Wild. Very interesting movie. I guess I liked it and the little girl did a very good job in that role. It was good but I don't think it was good enough to get the best picture nomination like it did.

Argo. Excellent movie. I can see why it won best pic. It was suspenseful even though I knew the outcome. Some good acting in this one too, Arkin was good, but after seeing both movies I don't think he was better than Tommy Lee Jones in Lincoln. Plus it had Walter White in it, which is a huge bonus.

It isnt a Mexican showdown, the series is done. Rumor has it Nolan is going to now be the head of the DC Movie Universe and produce Justice League (Warners will of course still let him make his other movies) and while over the weekend there was a rumor Bale would return for Justice League I dont see it happening. They will reboot Batman like Marvel/Sony did Spiderman.

Skyfall - LOVED it.

Epic

I see that IMBD has Craig in "Bond 24" for 2014 and "Bond 25" with no date. Hope so. Liked these 3 a lot.

Re: New/Rented Movies: Insert Random Retread Of A Plot

Saw Jack the Giant Slayer this weekend (in 2D, cause 'm not a sheep for 3D). Was entertaining and the love angle of the story was pretty muted. Even knowing the outcome before it started, it was a decent popcorn (with butter) flick.

Re: New/Rented Movies: Insert Random Retread Of A Plot

Slap Shot mentioned a movie to me on the Gopher site, "Guns, Girls, And Gambling." I had never heard of it but with a title like that? Yeah, gonna watch it.

Utterly ridiculous, over the top, cheesy, cliched. It was wonderful. Glorified B movie. If it could have worked in some sort of monster/alien/natural disaster, it could qualify for a SyFy movie. Definitely recommend, and this movie joins "Seven Psycopaths" on my "will probably buy eventually" list.

Gran Torino on TNT tonight...such a shame that movie received no nominations from the Academy. What a performance by Eastwood and what a great movie...even censored on TNT.

Indeed. That is on my "Must Own" list. (Yes, I own it)

Even more amazing is that many of the Hmong actors in that movie never acted before.

I found this to be worth the watch...

Re: New/Rented Movies: Insert Random Retread Of A Plot

Watched a couple movies today.

The Express:
Of course, lots of facts are wrong, but the basic story is true. And I have to say, they did a decent job of it. About Ernie Davis, the first black Heisman winner. It'll make you mad at times, get you caught up a little in the social issues (which is part of the point of the movie), and kudos to that. It gets you involved in the movie.

Nude Nuns With Big Guns:
Nunsploitation movie. Yes, you read that right. Sooooooooo horrible, yet entertaining. There are 3 scenes I think they could have eased up on (went on either too long, or were a bit too graphic, surprised Netflix carries this movie, I'll say that), but other than that? Top notch horrible movie. I rank it right up there with ThanksKilling.

This looks like it could be fun, but I'll probably wait until August when it's on video.

"Hermione stole our sh**." :D

Oh, I'm all over that! :D

Re: New/Rented Movies: Insert Random Retread Of A Plot

In the past couple of days I have watched Treasure of the Sierra Madre and rewatched Back to the Future.

I was a little disappointed with Treasure. I didn't like it nearly as much as the other Humphrey Bogart movies I've seen.

I hadn't actually watched Back to the Future in years. It is so good. I can't believe how incredibly excellent it is. And somehow I had never noticed that Huey Lewis is in it.

Re: New/Rented Movies: Insert Random Retread Of A Plot

42 comes out next week!!!!!!! :D

I have been seing a lot of commercials for it. Chills. Can't wait to see it.

Re: New/Rented Movies: Insert Random Retread Of A Plot

The Man With The Iron Fists.

Directed by RZA of the Wu Tang Clan. Screenplay by RZA and Eli Roth. Tarantino was heavily involved, too. It's exactly what you'd expect with those three involved. A total clusterf* of horrible awesomeness. One should probably be trippin' balls when watching this.

PS: When I say "clusterf* ," that is a total understatement. It does not come CLOSE to trying to describe this movie.

You never noticed that...it is one of the great inside jokes of the movie him ripping Marty whilst playing a Huey Lewis song :D

Speaking of Huey:
