Re: new/rented movies: DEVASTATOR!!!!!

I have to watch Watchmen again. :)

btw - any ideas if there will be a sequel?

Well, first comes the Saturday morning cartoon show (I know this has been posted here before, but it's awesome):
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/YDDHHrt6l4w&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/YDDHHrt6l4w&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Then comes "Watchmen Babies":
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Sk-F_XhDoq0&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Sk-F_XhDoq0&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Then we get the sequel. Featuring Dr. Manhattan's evil twin (Dr. Philadelphia). He'll be green. And have a goatee.

I am watching The Dream Team...man I love this flick! Michael Keaton at his best :)

Oh and I would watch the Watchmen Cartoon and read Watchmen Babies :p

Re: new/rented movies: DEVASTATOR!!!!!

Trailer gone. :(

Eh. I'll find it eventually, or I'll just go see Inglourious Basterds later this weekend.

GLM, the two names of note not listed on that site are Tom Berenger (in a movie people will see!) and it's not a Chris Nolan movie without Michael Caine, even if it's just a small role, according to Caine.

I watched Zodiac again last night and was reminded of how impressed I was with Mark Ruffalo. It's too bad he hasn't had a significant role in anything else that as of now I know I want to see. Does anyone recommend any of his other films? I've thought about What Doesn't Kill You but I can't stand Ethan Hawke.

Re: new/rented movies: DEVASTATOR!!!!!

Saw Inglorious Basterds yesterday. I thought it was very good. Felt like a standard Tarantino movie. Which also means that it people will either like it or hate it.

As far as trailers before the movie...not to much that was new. Gamer, which felt like a Running Man ripoff. Law Abiding Citizen (another Gerard Butler movie) which felt like a Deathwish ripoff except he wasnt killing random people...it didnt actually look terrible. The teaser for Inception of course. The Avatar trailer which didnt excite me. There might have been another...but I cant remember...so it must not have been good.

Re: new/rented movies: DEVASTATOR!!!!!

Well, saw Inglorious Basterds.

It wasn't as good as I wanted it to be. When I left Kill Bill Vol. 1 I was in a state of utter amazement. When I left Grindhouse, I left in amazement, awe, and with a huge smile on my face. Today I left the theater after a good movie but with no sense of wonder.

Ultimately I think having two story arcs was detrimental to getting the necessary scenes in the film. That's my synopsis anyway.

Oh, well.

He mostly has supporting roles in movies of his that I've seen (the only exception being Blindness, which I'd only kind of recommend).

Of his other movies that I've seen (which is really only about four or five of them), I really like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Collateral.

Thanks for the heads up - I'll have to look into them.

Re: new/rented movies: DEVASTATOR!!!!!

I know Colleteral was a pretty good movie, but it's been a LONG time since I've seen it, so I can't remember his performance specifically. However, I don't recall a weak point in the movie at all, so I hope that says something.

Re: new/rented movies: DEVASTATOR!!!!!

If I know you and GLM, it'll be posted again in the next week. ;)

Did you go with Brandon or with mom? I have the feeling dad wouldn't have liked it for some reason.
Parents. They both really liked it.

Inception's trailer will be released online tomorrow.

Ooh. And The Hurt Locker is at Parkwood now! Gotta see that soon.

Re: new/rented movies: DEVASTATOR!!!!!

Which story arc would you rather he focused on? I think both were necessary and played well off each other.

I felt the Basterds were missing one good scene in the film. Ultimately the movie was good, but I wasn't in awe when I left. The Basterds really got short shrift in the film.
