I remember when steeplechasing was a regular thing at Belmont and Saratoga. Not sure if they still do it at those tracks, but I used to find it quite facinating when they held them. Definitely a sport from yesteryear now.

They actually have a few different steeplechase events down in this area... I missed the first one earlier in the fall and made it to the second... Perfect weather and everything...

Game on!!!
