The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
although, Southfield was clearly the better team, it was a battle all the way. Most physical girls hockey game I have seen, it was officiated like a boys game. Not a bad thing, but it just was. Southfield is loaded and Thayer will improve with each game.
Ice, I think you are on the right track with those teams. All strong contenders for the top 8. I wouldn't leave Choate out of the mix though..heard some good things about their group this year.
Westminster
Brewster
Choate
Nobles
Tabor
Lawrence
Exeter
Berkshire
Based on last years rosters/performance
Westminster has been hit the least by graduation and had a great season last year despite a slip up in the playoffs. Added a blue chip freshman
Brewster seems to have gone recruiting north of the border again including a junior goaltender with some good credentials on paper.
Choate loses starting goalie and several key blueliners
Nobles has lost most of their scoring production from the past 2 seasons but do have some returnees who will have to step up.
Tabor lost their #1 goalie but have been filling the net so far.
Lawrence lost their #1 goalie and several strong forwards. Still have above average firepower up front.
Exeter returns a strong starting goalie and lost their top scorer but had a huge roster last year so are seasoned.
Berkshire loses 8 including their #1 goalie
Hey, did anyone see the either the Taft or Choate games against Lawrenceville this past weekend? I saw the scores (2-0 and 8-0 losses for L-ville), but I'm curious to hear thoughts on how the NJ team looked compared to the traditionally stronger NE schools.
Oustanding game!!! Nobles carried the play probably about 70-30 but Hiller had a fantastic game in goal with 28 saves to backbone the Seawolves.
Frade with the GWG in the second period assisted by Craig and Bouchard.
Kudos to both teams on an extraordinarily well played game!
Finals @ Taft, Choate 5, Tabor 0
The game was closer than the score indicates.
Choate got 2 goals in the 1st 4 minutes, both by Herr from Yang
Yang scored the other 3, converting 2 of 3 PP's.
Shots were very close, 24 - 23 Choate.
It's too bad they don't see each other again this year.
