Being the only common opponent of both Minnesota and Quinnipiac, and having seen all 4 games between those teams and UNO, I can say that from my perspective the Mavericks had more trouble with Quinnipiac than they did with the Gophers (all 4 games were road games for UNO).

Uh, obviously, I guess, since they were swept by Quinnipiac and split with the Gophers.

HOWEVER, the Mavericks trip to Hamden was delayed by weather problems and they never even so much as skated up there before playing the first game. And, they therefore had not skated or practiced since before Christmas. They had to show up and play the Bobcats cold. I think it affected our play quite a bit. Dunno what might have been different, if anything, if that hadn't happened.

I certainly don't have any issue with the Bobcats being voted #1 (if they are) this Monday, But I have real doubts that is going to happen. Sadly, the simple fact of the matter is that it is Minnesota, and it is Quinnipiac we are talking about here. I'm not saying it's right, I'm just saying that's the way it is, unfortunately.

Are you high? What does the fact that I've seen both the Gophers and the Bobcats play UNO have to do with anything other than the fact that they are the only common opponent of the two teams?

I'd hardly call UNO "for real" (although because of their crazy easy remaining schedule, they can sneak off with the MacNaughton). Like was said elsewhere here, we're 22nd in Pairwise, for crying out loud. We just swept Bemidji and fell 3 spots in Pairwise doing it. UNO's given up more goals than any other WCHA team with a winning record. You must not read much of anything I say in the UNO thread or you'd know how ridiculous your post is. UNO doesn't have the goaltending or consistent enough defense play to be "for real", either.

I've seen enough of your material in other teams' threads, and your excuses for Quinn to make this statement. Blatant at times, sometimes implied, sometimes backhanded, I agree with the poster who said you are "out Jan Brady-ing Jan Brady."

#1 in terms of being the sorriest excuse for a University in world. 1# in terms of school with largest number couch-burning, knuckle dragging, cow-tipping inbred students... These are the only categories that Central Michigan should ever be considered #1 in....

I don't want a flame war and I enjoy reading your posts, by the way.

However, I will not apologize for being a vociferous fan of my team. Just like I would never expect you to do so, either. And, we have few enough of ours (UNO fans) in this forum. You outnumber us a bazillion to one here. My dad always used to say to me "If you don't toot your own horn, nobody else is going to do it for you."

Sorry if I've gotten under you skin, somehow. It isn't my intention to get under anybody's skin, particularly somebody that's been around here a lot longer than I have been.

Here's a little hint, one that I learned quickly after joining the board, and this holds true to life: don't demand respect; keep your mouth shut and earn it. I'm just sayin'.

If the Q isn't number 1 on Monday we may have a few posters rocking themselves in the corner fetal position style it seems. Haha, get ready for the fetal Q followers, the Gophers are #1!

Let whoever wants the #1 ranking have it in January, they can hang a banner and throw a party. Since banners can't skate, they can use it to dry their tears when their season flames out in March.
