Once again the Bison are number 1 in the polls. They play South Dakota in Vermilion to end the regular season. Blizzard hitting that area hard right now. Field conditions tomorrow will be a factor. Bison win tomorrow and the road to Frisco will go through the FargoDome.

With North Dakota hovering in that 8/9 spot, and with their regular season finished, the Committee needed to get NDSU into that #1 seed.

It was a great rivalry back in the day. Most of us had friends at both schools, so it was a yearly exchange of hosting party weekend. Some rough Sunday mornings.

I still remember the game in Grand Forks where you could look down on the sidelines and see all the guys wearing NFL Films bibs walking around with cameras, to make this film. That was probably one of the coldest games I've been to.

Fixed that for ya.
I really thought SDSU would jump UND and get the #7 seed. I figured the committee would use the potential of a UND-NDSU game as an excuse to avoid a SDSU-NDSU rematch.

I did too, until I saw:
- a chance to prevent two (MVFC or BSC) teams in the semi-finals -- this way it can't happen
- a chance to head-to-head the conference co-champions of both the BSC and MVFC

Poly should be coming to Fargo if they play smart and don't overlook USanDiego.
Poly and that triple option should be worrisome because the NDSU defense is missing a key DT and 2/3 of their opening day LB group (including the MLB). The key to stopping the triple is stopping the dive and missing a DT and MLB is not optimal in that scenario.

Poly evidently looked past San Diego losing 35-21. San Diego comes to the FargoDome Saturday for a 2:30 game. They will hear noise like they never have before. Go Bison!!!!
