NCAA Tournament Games

Obviously I’m happy because I’m not sure if it’s happened before….both Wisconsin and Minnesota knocked out of the FF on the same day!!! Arm, Vicb…..you guys might know but the Ff will be great with new teams there!
FYI, the Yale goalie is making Frankel look human…..it’s up to Meloni for sure….

So ref calls off a Colgate goal, and within a minute Yale puts home a rebound to win it! New blood should prove interesting at FF!

Yale scores on a deflection in front

Yale 2 Colgate 1 Final

I have to say watching this game and the Minny game the better teams did not win these games IMHO.

Ohio State ties the game on the PP with less than a min to go in the first.

Quinny 1 OSU 1

No idea on the Yale win, but as for UMD coming out on top, Bulldogs and Gophers are pretty much a coin flip this year. UM can play just good enough to lose; it's a rare gift.

New blood from Yale, but the other three could be repeats of last year depending on what happens in Columbus.

Just read that this will be the first Frozen Four ever (started in 2001) without either Minnesota or Wisconsin. As a Badger fan I'm disappointed we won't be there but it is healthy for the growth of the sport to get some new blood in there.

Today is only the second time that Wisconsin has ever lost in the quarterfinals; the other was in 2005, and Minnesota won the championship tat year.

So no, it has never happened before.

Neither of them were in the FF in 2001. That was UMD, SLU, Harvard, and Dartmouth.

Do yourselves a favor and tune into the D3 quarterfinal broadcast from River Falls. No black net. Great rink. Great crowd. Several cameras. ...

I wasn't crazy about the low angle camera in the corner, because it was jarring when they would suddenly cut to it while play was going, but it did have a good view of the kicking penalty. Hadn't seen one of those in a long time.

The Goalie for Quinnipiac is having quite the game...

OSU player is all alone at center ice and falls down...WTH.

I forget who it was, but an NCAA men's game the last year or two, the goalie had been out there under seige so long, he started to cramp up. The backup had to come in to finish it. And I think they won.
