BTW I am always on the lookout for a site that tracks the old polls from the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. I believe Marquette was the source of one (by the NMU AD maybe?), and another originated from a news radio station in, I want to say, Michigan. Detroit? The Boston Globe probably had them all but I'm not paying for that rag just to use their impossible search functions.
I believe you're recalling Bob Olson's WMPL poll.

Well, Michigan is good. Naurato finally decided “why not be good all season?” instead of continuing to follow Mel’s blueprint of being average early and then playing like a top 5 post holiday break.

As far as I can see that changed the most is they are actually playing defense.

Watched that Michigan-Michigan State game after the Gophers lost to OSU in OT. Game was so much faster. Me knowing the second half schedule…

Dartmouth continues their undefeated run and return to #1 in the NPI at 10-0.

NMU finally got a win Friday and then took BG to OT yesterday. Good weekend for them.

Mercyhurst stays on the winless list. 0-15-1 after losing to 4-1 to Holy Cross.

And a rough weekend for the Mavs. Ferris ends their football season in the afternoon and then hockey drops a home game to Ferris in the evening that cost them three NPI spots.

Starting to do work on the World Jr set up here. Getting close!

Sounds like i may have to ineract with Phil Housley and his wife, esteemed state senator Housley. Sigh.

Fun events being planned though, if you can get here to see a few games, please do!
I, for one, am looking forward to once again using the best of pirated streams because the IIHF and USA Hockey keep insisting on putting their games on the most inaccessible channel known as the NHL Network. FFS would it kill them to make the games available on a streaming platform? And they wonder why no one has ever heard of the tournament?

At the Spengler Cup the US College Selects team lost their first game to Team Canada 3-2 but won their second game against the hosts HC Davos. No small feat considering HC Davos is the first place team in the Swiss League.

Edit: All the Spengler Cup games are available for free on YouTube. HC Davos and Team Canada playing right now.

College Selects need a regulation Davos win by fewer than three goals, unless it's 3-0 or 4-1.
If that happens, the Selects win their group. They'd then get a bye into the Semis on Tuesday.
Otherwise, they'll finish 2nd and play against IFK Helsinki tomorrow evening.

Davos just scored to go up 1-0 right before the end of the first.

Davis beats Team Canada 4-1. The College Selects win their group!
