Just bought a ticket for the semifinal tomorrow. It's going to be such a great experience in one of the prettiest barns in the world.
Well I’m jealous. Not only did you get to visit one of the best arenas in the world but you also saw a fantastic game!

College Selects beat Sparta Prague 5-3 to go to the Spengler Cup final. They’ll play the winner of the Swiss matchup between Davos and Fribourg-Gotteron.

Not a bad performance from the College Selects already with wins over the first place teams in the Swiss (Davos) and Czech (Sparta Prague) leagues.

It's one of the best games I've ever been to and I've seen UND win a national championship in Tampa.

The venue is amazing. The crowd was cheering for the kids. The after party is as good as it gets

Tech put up a fight with MSU last night. MSU broke through in the second half of the game, but it was 0-0 halfway thru. Tech’s goalie stoned MSU 5-6 times before I realized he was a transfer from Lindenwood who kept the series close last year, I think 2-0 and 4-0, while MSU was putting up 50 shots.

Looking at those arenas FFS just put the Olympics there!

Now that we're into January and most non-con is wrapped up, let's see what the projected field would be:

1. Michigan vs 22. Holy Cross
8. Penn State vs 9. Western Michigan

2. North Dakota vs 15. UConn
7. Duluth vs 10. Harvard

3. Wisconsin vs. 14. Cornell
6. Denver vs 11. Minnesota State

4. Dartmouth vs. 13. Providence
5. Michigan State vs. 12. Quinnipiac

Conference breakdown: Big Ten - 4, NCHC - 4, ECAC - 4, HE - 2, CCHA - 1, AHA - 1
Somehow avoids any intra-conference match-ups and I think everything can be slotted with host schools without breaking the seeding and keeping 1 seeds in their preferred spots.

I was at the St. Thomas/Ferris State game. Both teams need to work on defense. Ferris State looked sluggish. Save percentages were the same for both teams. Yikes!

Canisius goalie Petter Wickstrom Stumer made 72 saves on 75 shots on goal in a regulation game last night as the Golden Griffins held on to a 4-3 win against Lindenwood.

Well, a week of non-conference play will certainly change a lot.

1. Michigan vs 29. Holy Cross
8. Penn State vs 9. Denver

2. North Dakota vs 15. UConn
7. Western Michigan vs 10. Quinnipiac

3. Wisconsin vs. 14. Minnesota State
6. Dartmouth vs 11. Cornell

4. Duluth vs. 13. Augustana
5. Michigan State vs. 12. Princeton

But we do have to change something on the 3-line due to Dartmouth-Cornell being intra-conference. But only Denver can move because the other two teams on the 3-line are also ECAC, so it would become 8. PSU vs 11. Cornell and 6. Dartmouth vs 9. Denver.

Conference breakdown: Big Ten - 4, NCHC - 4, ECAC - 4, CCHA - 2, HE - 1, AHA - 1
IN: Augustana, Princeton
OUT: Harvard (10), Providence (13)
