NCAA and Stanley Cup championships?

Re: NCAA and Stanley Cup championships?

So will any college player get the NCAA equivalent of Scott Niedermeyer's Stanley Cup, Gold Medal, World Championship, World Junior Championship, World Cup, and Memorial Cup (obviously replacing Memorial Cup with NCAA title)?

Re: NCAA and Stanley Cup championships?

What about New York Islanders Asst Coach Doug Weight? No, wait. I believe he left LSSU early, a year before their NCAA title

Re: NCAA and Stanley Cup championships?

Here's an interesting stat (at least I think so)...

Brian Rafalski has lost an NCAA Title Game ('92 w/Wisconsin), Stanley Cup Finals Game 7 (2001 w/NJ and 2009 w/Detroit), and a Gold Medal Game (2002 and 2010). There could very well be others that have accomplished (word choice?) this feat.

Of course, Rafalski also won Stanley Cups with New Jersey in 2000 and Detroit in 2008. Rafalski also lost a game against the former Soviets in the 1992 World Junior Championships, that had the USA won they would have won the Gold (not a gold medal game though, as the tourney was Round Robin at that time).
